Overpriced and dirty! As we we're on our Holidays the kids desperately wanted to go, there was a substantially big que when we arrived which wasn't a major issue for us to begin with. It cost us £26.00 for a family of 4 for the afternoon (we arrived after 2pm). I politely asked the lady who served us if the band's we had to wear we're latex free, the response was a short sharp no with a dirty look. We finally made it to the changing rooms where to our disappointed selves were met with the most unhygienic conditions! (I wish I'd taken photos to prove it but didn't because this is a changing room after all). There was a burger thrown all over the floor, wet cigarettes in cubicles, clumps of unidentifiable gloop? Toilet paper stuck everywhere in the toilets, unfortunately the men's weren't any better according to my partner the men's toilets smelt like a dirty hamster's cage! We went on through to the pool's where the only indoor pool that was open was the toddler pool, the outdoor area was way to cold and unsuitable for our youngest child. The chlorine was phenomenal it really burnt our eyes whilst we were in there! There was no signs or notification letting the public know that their main big indoor pool was out of action. On the way out after we'd had a fantastic time.....not, the kids wanted to go on through to the 'Brean Play' area and have abit of food from the cafe, to their disappointment and our disgust you have to pay extra for the play area. So we decided to grab a quick drink and coffee from the "Starbucks" section instead... This really isn't a Starbucks, there was hardly anything available, the countertop was filthy the creamer compressor was congealed with old cream, this was the tipping point for myself, so we swiftly left, took advantage of the £3 parking and walked down the road to the fish and chip shop and had the best cod and chips and a hour in the arcade's! Overall, we won't be going back to said...
Read moreAbsolutely disappointing And contradicting place. I saw the policies of ratios to children to adult. I called and spoke to a member of staff around 4 o’clock one day and explained that my children were really good swimmers and would like to use the baby splash area no slides So could I book the first session of the day that would allow that? The member of staff told me yes that would be fine. They often quiet and just explain to the staff at the door and they are usually quite accommodating. Member of staff on the door Refuses me entry because of the policies. I explained my conversation the previous day of which she can only apologise and tell me that staff member was in the wrong. She also tells me that their website is rather confusing and that they are looking into making Improvements . She gives me an email to seek a refund. This Was incorrect. I then find another email on their website. I emailed that. My response is I can book an 830 slot only and transfer my payment but they will not offer me a refund. Unfortunately, this is not what my children wanted to enjoy, Lane swims only. I was also on holiday and had left the following day. This was also explained. My poor children was so upset, There was thankfully a soft play next door And they could accommodate our visit at short notice, The staff there asked why my son was upset of which I explained, The staff member there even agreed that the website should not allow bookings that conflict with policies and this would avoid disappointment. This was suggested in my email of which I’ve had no acknowledgement. The basis they have kept my payment for absolutely no service and no good service at that. Customer...
Read moreI attended the water park with my 2 daughters one of whom has dyspraxia which affects her with her dressing and undressing especially when getting changed in confined areas . I booked online and had the discount as we were staying on unity . I wasn’t intending on swimming but I wanted to be there in case my daughter needed me as she can get very anxious although she was with her older sister. When the booking was checked I was asked if I was staying and I told them no I was just spectating as I have done many times before at this park. I was then told I would have to pay £13 to just sit down as they don’t issue tickets for spectators. This was more money than the cost of the ticket to swim and use the facilities !!! . I explained about my daughters disability and that I needed to help her but they weren’t interested. I told them I would sit outside of the pool area by the brean soft play and they said this was ok . However I went in to help my daughter and sat by the pool area to make sure she was ok and no one questioned me . Another parent I spoke to told me she needed to go in as her child had diabetes so needed to ensure he was safe at all times . They are discriminative of disabilities and I think it is awful you get charged £13 to just sit down !!! . I’ve emailed the site via their website and they haven’t bothered to respond. I’ve been going to unity for years since my children were small but it has totally put me off how money to them is more important than children with additional needs . Will never go...
