We all have special places where we always love to come back even if we travel around the globe and focus on our life experiences. One of this absolutely unforgettable venue is "The Swan", Brentwood. Read moreHaving revisited this once popular traditional pub my friend and I were greeted by a group of people just coming out, all moaning what a poor effort of a pub it was. One was quite specific in why to avoid it like the plague. We decided each to their own and went in to order from the second most miserable woman I have ever met. She was having a bad day, that appeared to be every one else's fault and she made her attitude quite apparent to all. Having got our drinks finally I made the mistake of popping to the toilet. It had two smashed urinals and urine all over the floor. On returning to my friend he asked if I wanted to eat here. I explained the disgusting state of the toilets and we drunk up and left. What a sorry state, not long ago it was a very popular pub. Mistakes are being made and poorly managed. I can only state what I saw and witnessed. By all means try it for yourself, or simply try one of the many other pubs in Brentwood as you will be...

One of the barstaff was quite rude, while I wanted to order food at 8:45, he told me they weren't, before serving someone else at the bar food which is quite misleading and insulting - as well as the fact I was hungry throughout the night. I did not manage to buy a drink at all, for while at friend had bought me one earlier, when I went up, right when he rang last orders, he refused to server me, even though I was at the bar ready, money in hand.
Overall in feel insulted by the way some of the barstaff act and behave, and it isn't suitable for a high street pub such as this. This was my first time coming here and I doubt I will be back, especially if a pub sees hiring someone like that as good barstaff...
