OMG!!!!!! Where do I start? Well, maybe I should start with the fact that this was the fourth visit for my dear friend and myself to the Midpoint Cafe in Brentwood Essex and I will continue to dine there. I had ordered the sirloin steak because it came highly recommended and although I knew that the food was great, I never expected what I was about to experience. When my food was brought over, I had to first of all take a photo even though I was really hungry. I did not want to forget what the presentation looked like, it was so beautiful. So over to the taste, with the first bite, I literally went into slow motion mode, the hairs on my arms stood on end and I gave a deep and long exhale as I was experiencing a foodgasm. The steak was so tender, the vegetables were perfectly done, they had a lovely crunch to them. The mashed potato was formed in a leaf shape and was so smooth in the mouth. Oh, wow what an experience. Our server was so friendly, he made sure we were happy with everything. He was warm and we felt that we were the only people there although we were not. What an amazing...

When visiting I parked behind the back of the high street at William Hunter Way Public Car Park .

📍@midpointcafebistro – 117 High St, Brentwood, CM14 4RX

The Midpoint Café Bistro in our view is a hidden gem eatery in Brentwood, Essex. This place is perfect for a breakfast, brunch, lunch and drinks. The owners are dedicated and hard working. The restaurant was spotless and food was served promptly.

We really enjoyed our visit and would certainly visit again to try more from their tasty menu.

Items we ordered:

·       Pancakes – served with fresh fruits, almonds and maple syrup £10.50. ·       Eggs Royale – toasted sourdough, Scottish smoked salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce £11.90 ·       New!!! Feta Crush – sliced sourdough, poached eggs, smashed avocado, feta cheese and sundried tomato £11.90 ·       Mediterranean Breeze – Eggs, Olives, Halloumi & Sucuk (spicy sausages), hash brown, portobello mushroom, sourdough toast with honey & jam £12.90 ·       Drinks- Cappuccino, Fresh Orange Juice, Tropical & Summer Fruit Smoothies.

The staff are very attentive and helpful and super nice.

The kitchen staff make some deliciously tasting food, seriously cannot fault what is served, but they need to look at the waitress notes regarding what the client doesn’t want on their plate….that’s really important.

The wine isn’t hugely overpriced a decent Cab Sav £21 ish.

The dessert - a warm cheesecake (tastes like biscoff) with ice cream. At first we wasn’t sure as we’d never had warm cheesecake, but it works. One serving was enough for both of us. Fabulous.

If I could give you one piece of advice put Some sort of rice on as a side dish. I can’t eat wheat or potatoes but everything was either with pasta or with potatoes unless you wanted a light bite salad. I would’ve swapped it out rather than wasting food I can’t eat and only eating / havig...
