Barrelhouse — Restaurant in Bristol

On the website and on Google Maps it said it's open at 4 pm but the kitchen still wasn't open until 5 pm. I came back home and I have ordered on Uber Eats.

The next disappointment: all pizzas on Uber Eats are £2 more expensive comparing with menu on tables in Barrelhouse. £20 for that type of the pizza is ridicules a lot and I don't remember any place where was similar, that high price.

The pizza looked small but it was full of cheese and focaccia. My pizza wasn't cut fully and it was split to 4 pieces. I compared my pizza with other pizzas on Google Maps and other people got much better cuts and 6 pieces. Pieces were way too big to eat them properly without making a mess. Grease was absolutely everywhere and the whole box was very quickly full of it. I have been really full after the whole pizza. It tasted good but ingredients were not the best (specially cheese and pepperoni).

At this point ignoring not specified time of opening the kitchen, higher price on Uber Eats and low quality of ingredients, I will give it 3/5. However, on the next day I woke up and I felt really sick. It was ridicules heavy pizza and I can't imagine ordering once again and eat all by myself. Service was great, very polite, friendly and welcoming. Waiter / barman made an effort to speak to us briefly and was professional throughout

Pizza - AMAZING* top marks well done

Detroit style fluffy pizza with that lovely crispy cheese edge and plenty of different options to choose from very nice indeed, some of the nicest pizza I've ever had

Chips were nice too

Just a couple of little moans - don't skimp on those toppings too much, I think I'd be happy to pay a little more per pizza for a bit more topping

Drinks - not bad could do with a few more cider options, inches is ok but it's no thatchers - North Street Cider surely??? It's a no brainer 😀

Building itself wasn't to bad by any means but could possibly do with an update/ paint /freshen up

Barrel house is a barrel of laughs i like.the vibe, seems ite there was band playing when I arrived to collect food. Will av to pop by for a pint another time. Restaurant is behind the scenes but the food smells good when I pick it up from the bar. - & I'll add, it is confusing when u arrive because there is no sign that says barrel house outside the front is just a geometric bird shaped figures n stuff but I noticed next time I went that it says BARREL HOUSE on a sign to the side of the building, it's around the corner so it's visible from the road I imagine. Lol I heard me and several other people say as we walked in: "is this is? I think is it?" Double taking , ' I recon.. must be.. ' ..maybe that is the kind of experience they are going for. . .
