Rating this for food, popped in on Saturday for a late lunch, service was fairly swift, but while the burger was ok, I feel there’s issues I want to address, first off I came for the idea of dipping a burger into gravy, but none of the burgers seem suited to that, I mean if you dip a buffalo chicken burger into gravy won’t it just taste like buffalo chicken, the spice will win out, the other chicken burger has avocado into, who wants to dip avocado into gravy… after taking a long time weighing up the options I went for the Jackpot burger, this did pair ok with the gravy, but I’d rather have had a BBQ chicken option to choose. Next was the “dipping gravy” it came in a mug, how are you supposed to dip a burger into a mug? I ended up pouring the gravy onto the burger which was not really how I expected to have to deal with it. Speaking of mugs, I felt like one after paying £3.50 for fries and it being a tiny portion also in a mug (it looks full up in the photo but it was stacked in a way that there didn’t seem to be that many in there), a disappointment, they were nice fries but at that price I’d expect a bit of a bigger portion size, particularly as the burgers aren’t the biggest, for the overall £19.75 price tag it feels like there should have been a bit more. Anyway the service staff did a good job (I didn’t mention any of my issues with them, I am English after all) but somewhere there seems to be a disconnect between what the menu appears to offer and how it is implemented!

Beers in here are at the very high end of prices for area. That aside they do have a fantastic range of Brewdog & other beers. Staff are great but felt that only 2 servers on a Sunday afternoon was pushing the wait times at bar a little (longer you wait less you spend so bonus) Both staff on duty working really hard & were friendly, knowledgeable & great at what they were doing. Now on to the food well we came for the burger deal which looks great value if the burgers were actually any good sadly they are at best average & ours in my opinion was well overcooked. Waited an age for the two burgers to arrive & they really were a tad disappointing. On saying that the 2 sides for £7 is a great deal with a generous portion of Mac & cheese. Probably going to got back when dealing isn't on to see if the dodge burger was a one off. Nice place but in this instance food let it down by time arrived I was too hungry to complain.

Good overall experience. Was very busy for a wed evening. Fairly noisy also. Went with a number of people and due to the noise did not hear my orders arrival and was given to someone else! However quickly rectified with waiter/waitress service being very good. Being a vegetarian opted for side dishes - Heritage Tomato Salad(was ok, but would not order again), Crispy Hasselback Potatoes ( they were good and would order again), and Carolina plant based main (was ok, could have done with more sauce). Generally good experience and would go again. Good value for money.

I don't like to leave a public bad review but the email linked here so here you go. We booked in a month in advance for my partner's birthday for the Unlimited Wings Wednesday (table of 8 at 8pm 14th June if you want to take this up with your staff). It wasn't busy at all yet drinks and food were unbelievably slow. We each had a grand total of 2 drinks and 10 wings of our "unlimited" allowance before being told the kitchen was closed. This despite the fact we all fully intended on getting drunk on beer and wings.

On top of this, the staff were incredibly rude and frankly incompetent. We were shouted at to move table inside after being told initially to sit outside in a very abrupt way and were offered no help in moving 8 people's food and drinks. We then sat and watched our food sit on the kitchen pass for 30 minutes while our server moved plants and candles in from outside (hardly what I'd call a priority). We would have said something at this point except the staff seemed to be actively avoiding any of the customers and would conveniently disappear whenever we got up to try and find someone.

When we were finally brought our cold, filmy, dry food and refused to eat it we were told that the kitchen was closing but she could ask them to redo it to which we declined because the birthday celebrations had already been ruined by the horrible attitude and service - we just wanted to leave and try to redeem the evening. We refused to pay for our food and left.

It's a shame because we had previously enjoyed an evening here, which is why we booked it, but I won't...

I normally don't like to leave negative reviews but the experience had at Brewdog Harbourside yesterday was very poor.

Booked for the heavily advertised rugby world cup only to be told 15 minutes into the match they wouldn't be playing the sound and would only be doing so for the England game because they "didn't want rugby on all day." If this is the case, please don't advertise that you're showing matches. If we had known we would have booked elsewhere as the atmosphere was awful and was not what we had expected at all. While they conceeded to put the sound on through the projector speaker, the music playing was still far too loud to hear anything.

I felt sorry for the only two members of staff working on a Saturday afternoon. If you're short staffed do not offer table service, surely thats what you're online ordering service is for? During our visit a large group of about 16 guests were served at the table. You've now effectively left one staff member to serve behind the bar, run food, deal with customers and online orders. She was trying her best but service was slow and getting their attention was difficult.

Our food and other orders were sat on the pass for long a periods of time after being rung for service by the kitchen team repeatedly. While our food was tasty, it was only warm at best.

It's such a shame as I'm usually a big fan of Brewdog pubs but will more than likely steer clear after this experience.

I hope this review helps you do better...
