Having been longstanding customers and enjoying the food, we had recently ordered for 2 and received 1 meal. This wasn’t much of an issue, an inconvenience but human error was appreciated as I was once a chippy worker in my teens stressed by a multitude of orders. Ultimately, it was £5 worth of loss, but a main to the chips nonetheless. When we returned on the 21st Feb however, we almost embarrassingly mentioned our short loss and asked for minor compensation with regards to a sausage and a side (which was the items forgot) to be accused immediately of potentially lying and moving onto the next customer in a condescending way. I can appreciate that the ‘lying’ can be a reasonable thought but the promptness and carelessness of the delivery made our politeness and the inconvenience feel unsubstantial. Bear in mind my partner and I would never leave a negative review for an independent establishment but the familiarity and appreciation you would expect from such was not received. It was an extremely rude and an...

Absolutely disgrace service! Very miserable and looks like don’t want to serve us. This youngsters just don’t understand the level of commitment and the value of their job. Such a shame! If you don’t want to work then don’t work, give someone else the job who will deserve it and will enjoy the value of the work. They’re one of the reason businesses are closing because they’re too lazy and not eager doing any job.

Also signs says no.1 fish and chips restaurant? As Gordon Ramsay always says “don’t own the title if you can’t provide it consistently” if you are going to put signs that you are number 1? Then you might as well hire Kim kardashians so it matches well for faking it.

Food was old and reheated for too long. Sausages tasted like it was cooked last year! So dry and solid! So called no.1 fish and chips restaurant? Take your sign off and put a “not sure when we can serve you best” depends on the mood of the staff if they can be bother. What a waste of...

Just ordered cod n chips and a pot of curry sauce from ubereats and at 1st was surprised by how light the bag was when the driver handed me it. Then when i got to open the box I was amazed at how pitiful the amount of chips were and how small and greasy the piece of cod was. Now I only live a 10 minute walk away and I was very tempted to take it back to the shop and ask them what the hell were they thinking serving this up. And remember this cost over £13. But after getting back from a 17 hour flight last night and feeling jet lagged I don't think going up there and complaining would've been a good idea especially feeling the way I do right now. So all I can do is write a review which I seldom do and have never left a bad review before but feel strongly that I've been ripped off and disappointed from a shop that I go to every now and then. All I can say is think twice before ordering online and if you do be prepared to be disappointed because I...

Sub standard food. This cost £10 with chips and I expect the box would've tasted better... I'm not one for complaining usually but this has unleashed my FULL KAREN. The sketchy piece of cod resembled perhaps the leather from an old boot and the chips weren't even hot. I live 2 minutes down the road from this establishment and I will not be returning anytime soon. They weren't serving burgers and the sausages they had left looked drier than Clint Eastwood in ANY of his old westerns. It's a nope from me. In Pride month too! In this economy?!?! I don't think. I'll be happier travelling further for better, cheaper food that I'll actually enjoy. Kthxbye.

Wow. I used to highly rate this place. Haven’t been for about 2 years and what a difference. Kids meal (almost £7). For a dry sausage and a handful of chips with a juice carton. Had to wait 15 mins for it when it wasn’t all that busy either. The guy serving looked like he didn’t want to be there. If I wasn’t ordering to take away, I would have asked for a refund of the food as it was almost inedible. Waiting 15 mins you’d expect it to taste fresh. I would have believed it was yesterdays food reheated with how it tasted!
