Quite possibly the worst place I've been to. firstly During covid times- not socially distanced. For a place called simply Thai, a lot of the dishes were not actually from Thailand. For example wonton soup and hofun are Cantonese dishes. The curries ordered were so watered down it looked like dishwater and they tried to bulk it out with standard cheap takeaway bamboo shoots. I've never had a tomyum so lacking in spice and taste Before. The wonton soup - the wontons were so flat and meatless I felt like I was just eating dumpling pastry and the sauces for the main course dishes were so watery it didn't stick to the food or add flavour to it at all. Worst of all, everything was drowned in MSG and has left me thirsty and drinking water for hours after we've had our meal. It is very much like takeaway food catered for the British palette and not authentic at all. I want to say you get what you pay for but I've had more authentic and genuine food for the same price elsewhere. They also overcharged the dishes. Wonton soup is £4.50 on the menu but they charged £4.95. Ice tea was served in a 500ml mason jar, filled to the brim with ice and very watered down to taste but charge £2.50. For someone who knows very well how the food should look and taste it's actually very upsetting and insulting to see. A shame because the staff were nice. If you are after authentic Thai food definitely not the place. Tried it. Won't be back.

The staff is super hospitable and warm! From the moment I stepped in, till I left, the staff was so prompt, attentive and made me feel welcomed. I ordered green curry (veg), coconut rice and lemon iced tea. Everything was delicious. Loved the food. The pleasant staff interaction made the food more enjoyable. I remember going to places where food was good but because the staff was rude or unnecessarily sarcastic or weird, it spoiled the whole eating experience and I couldn't enjoy food. But Simply Thai is Simply Amazing! Thank you for the lovely experience.

Visited here on a work trip. I always try to find a local Thai restaurant that is more cafe style to restaurant as they tend to do more authentic food. Simply Thai did not disappoint! Lovely food at a good price. The pad kee mao was delicious and the Laab had a good spice to it. I wouldn't order the ribs again though, as they were just plain ribs with sweet chilli sauce on them.

Was craving a Thai tonight but most of them close on Mondays and this one was open so thought will give it a try but NEVER AGAIN! Ordered satay skewers, jungle curry, pork & aubergine stir fry along with rice. Halfway through the meal, I spotted a hair in the curry. As I picked it up, it transpired to be an extra long one and intertwined into the chicken that it lifted up with it. I called over the lady who just apologised and took it away. She did say she won't charge for it but I wouldn't have paid for it anyway. It put me off the rest of the food I had and I left feeling dissatisfied and still hungry. I was going to complain even further and demand that I don't pay for anything at all but I was with my girlfriend who just wanted to leave without me kicking up a fuss in this small restaurant. It pained me still having to pay over £20 and they had the audacity to include a service charge of £2! I understand accidents happen but the service afterwards was insanely poor. They told one another in Thai so we couldn't understand but it was so obviously they were discussing it because they kept looking over at us. Think I might have to report to H&S inspectors. P.s. food was terrible in case you're wondering, chicken was the worst cut of meat I've ever had and definitely the worst...

served rotting food. yuck. I ordered the paw paw salad - from the 'recommendations/specials' section on the menu - what a mistake. It was super spicy - couldn't eat it. I picked around it, and found the cherry tomatoes in it were soft and rotting. evidently this had been sitting marinating in fish sauce and chilli juices for the best part of a week- i couldn't believe they would serve it. We also had duck which was greasy and unpleasant. and a meat and broccoli dish - edible at least but nothing to write home about. the lemon tea tasted like coridal. gross. £30 for two. the guy serving was nice though didn't ask why I didn't eat my meal. I feel sad for people of Bristol who think this is what Thai food is...
