I recently visited the IKEA restaurant in Bristol for brunch, and overall, it was a good experience. We tried a variety of dishes, including fish and chips, muffins, onion rings, pasta, and tomato soup. The standout dish for me was definitely the **fish and chips**—crispy, fresh, and delicious, making it the highlight of the meal. The rest of the food was also quite tasty and affordable, which is always a plus when dining at IKEA. However, being the weekend, the restaurant was very crowded, and the atmosphere was quite noisy. It felt a bit overwhelming at times, especially with the self-service setup and the large number of people around. I imagine that on weekdays, when the crowd is smaller, the experience would be more relaxed and enjoyable. Despite the noise and crowds, the food quality remained high, and the value for money was great. The service was standard, given the self-service model, but it did feel a bit chaotic due to the crowd. The layout of the restaurant is open, which adds to the busy feel, but the food more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend visiting on a quieter day, as the food and affordability make it a solid choice.

It's IKEA food, you should know what you're getting into. Massive portions of somewhat bland food at a reasonable price, tasty desserts, and lots of drink options with free refills. Limited food options but you get lots of variations in terms of side and toppings: You want your meatballs with mash and gravy? Chips and gravy? Spaghetti and red sauce? Rice? The servers won't bat an eyelash no matter the combo you come up with. Might be difficult to find a seat during peak hours, but there are endless seats.

We used to love coming to IKEA for the food but no longer. The pasta was literally served with about a glass full of water (see photos). The chips were mediocre, the queues very slow (both sides open but just slow) and difficult to see if tables are free round the corner. The meatballs, mash and peas were ok and prices not extreme but the pasta was inexcusable.

IKEA used to be half decent for food and where it lacked in quality it was excellent on price. Not any more, the food prices have gone up whilst the food has nosedived. The kids fish fingers were bland, rubbery and tasted like they’d been there since the morning. The meatballs weren’t what they used to be. The queues to get the food were ridiculous, why is only one side ever opened at peak times? The restaurant was dirty, tables weren’t being cleaned, the food was considerably more costly...
