itsu - Bristol Broadmead — Restaurant in Bristol

I’ve been coming to this Itsu for years, and while the food is still tasty, the experience isn’t quite the same anymore. The service feels a bit off, and it’s not as clean as it used to be—probably better for takeaway than eating in sometimes

One thing that really confuses me is the ‘free meal’ situation. Twice now, when a certain employee was working, they told me I had a free meal, only to then say it was expired. But on days when they aren’t there, the other employees just take my order and process it as normal, with no mention of a free meal at all. I asked if they could remove whatever was causing this so it wouldn’t keep happening, but they said they couldn’t, which seemed unnecessary—why tell me I have a free meal when I don’t?

Another issue is the menu. It says you can add extras, but when I asked, I was told only egg. If certain options aren’t actually available at the moment, why not just use some paper and tape to cover them up? It would be a simple fix to avoid confusion and set the right expectations for customers.

I’ve been to Itsu locations in Bath and London, and they seem to offer a much better experience—cleaner, more efficient, and without these small but annoying issues. The food here is still good, but the overall experience just doesn’t feel as...

The chicken broth I ordered teasted very nasty, plus It wasn't served hot. Some of the raw fish in the fridge didn't look fresh. 😡

Staff gave me a dirty spoon to eat with!!!. The staff seem out of place & not care about paying customers!! Managers should fire those staff especially their chefs 🤔😡

Wanted a light, healthy lunch and recognised the name from the miso soup I have for my lunch in work. You can make your choice and either take away or sit inside. We had a pack of salmon and tuna sushi, some duck filled bao buns with hoisin dip and miso soup between the two of us, which was plenty - not that cheap but worked out (including two Kombucha drinks) at just under £10 per head. The food was simple and delicious but be careful of the accompanying dips as they can be very salty which might take some of the healthiness away. Good hygiene, tables cleared and sprayed as soon as they're free, plus sanitiser at the doors. Would definitely eat here again. We just need some to open in Wales - Cardiff or...
