No stars. I went into Superdrug to get some last minute essentials today with my sister in law from Scotland. You just couldn't make it up first the pharmacy assistant sold an antibacterial cream to sister when she asked for a repellent for mosquitoes. I only realised when she showed it to me. Secondly which should have been 1st the assistant refused Scottish tender when it is legal. Thirdly due to mot having my nhs card and just a blue light card although I showed my identity on my phone they refused. With all of the negativity I decided I wanted my money back and also prompted my sister to not buy anything after the series of incompetent actions which is really bad if you ask to speak to the pharmacist. With that although unessecary the pharmacist who appeared clueless and had no authority over the incompetent staff. Iheard the pharmacist radio for the security guide even though we both were leaving. All I asked for is my money to be refunded. The security guard was not to blame as he was put on the spot and had no idea what was going on. I felt the whole thing was built on race as I am mixed Race and my sister white. The whole thing was bad from the beginning when they refused Scottish tender. I believe I was treated like I didn't matter. I did not see one black or brown assistant just the security guard whom they appeared to set up for drama. Unfortunately their plan didn't work and they lost out as we ended up spending 100 pounds else where. The other last thing was they sent a smiling sarcastic larger young woman to stand up behind us as if she wanted to ignite the situation. It was just sour grapes on Superdrugs side as they lost out . I had a chat with the guard who I think deserves to be in a position of customer service as his manners were impeccable. I think his name was Andre not sure. Superdrug you should be ashamed of yourself. Broadmead is going down hill definitely something not right with all the mistakes the pharmacy staff...
Read moreI must say stuffs are extremely rude. I went to there in this Sunday before they closed but Yes, it could say last mins. I fully understand nobody wants to work after 5pm on Sunday. I try to buy the electronic toothbrush, since they mentioned to bring to counter, so I bring to counter , the lady in counter went to check if there has stock or not. I realise if the one I want is out of stock, I will ask her to look another one different colour before she come and walk again to counter. Then I went to the corner where she is scanning the code to check and she said out of stock, so I asked her if there is available in black colour one, she scanned it and said âNoâ. So I asked another one which is beside of the one she scanned, and then she said to other side over phone â She is gonna check every single toothbrush, until she got oneâ in very sarcastic way.
In this point , the store is not over closing hour yet, still got 2 mins to check. I feel like that is totally rude to said like that in front of customer. As a customer we canât hear what the other side said but we literally hearing what the person in front of us saying.
I think she shouldnât work in customer facing role if she has that kind of attitude. I was a loyal customer of Superdrug (online and store) and due to rude behaviour, I will never come back to Superdrug while I can get everything from other stores (online and store). I will never recommend to this shop to any of my friends. Kindly remember, we are customer and we pay to get the items and not asking for free , so please train your stuffs to work in front role properly.
Ps I nearly to complain to store manager but I didn't and understanding everybody want to go...
Read moreToday I went to Superdrug Pharmacy around 2 pm for an emergency. My daughter cut her hand and was going to hospital. Before that I wanted to give her first aid to stop bleeding. As I know Superdrug pharmacy gives counter advice and asked one of the lady if she could find something for me or suggest me to buy any emergency kit. She was not listening me properly and immediately sent me to other lady on the aisle. I explained everything to her again & she told me to wait. She went to pharmacy again and seek help from them but again they refused to help. I was there to buy an item or product, simply they could suggest me anything. May be my ethnicity or my appearance did not get her attention. My daughter had a deep wound and as a mother I was so helpless in that situation. I bet if there was any other customer having same issue like me she wouldnât ignore in same way. While the government is providing this service to everyone how could they ignore emergency situation.
The second lady helped me and requested them to serve me to avoid the queue from the main till. Again they rejected to help me and was saying she need to ask the pharmacist first. Then I went to the main till to pay for the item.
It was worst and I am absolutely disgusted with my experience with Superdrug Pharmacy. This ignorance is unacceptable. I am not using the word âracismâ but I definitely experienced it.
Also want to thanks the lady who tried to comfort both me and my daughter, offered me wipes and tried her best to...
