After visiting their Bath site we were excited to come here, and we even left it to the last place on our list in sheer expectation.... Happy to report they smashed it again! Location Located on one of the busiest streets for food in Bristol, its clear that they are fighting for the footfall but they don't at all struggle given their product and branding. Short wall from the shopping centre but perfect for the foodie tour. Interior This place is loved. It is very clear that the team take pride in their workspace. I found the cafe to be clean and the batista area is organised and often cleaned during the day. The decor is lovely and the toilets were well kept. Plenty of quieter seating at the rear and some more 'pit stop' seating at the front with the counter in the middle. Overall no complaints here Service Nice to see a cafe with a healthy number of staff. I think they get very busy as there was a small army ready to serve. I found all interactions to be pleasant. The team have quite a structured way to serve a customer and it works, we did notice that others were waiting a while on hot drinks but our milkshake came very quickly. Food/drink We had a stuffed cookie sandwich with an ocean of three types of chocolate poured on top and a cookie and creme milkshake. We have had it before but it is a real sugar overload... so so good! The chocolate is pure luxury and the milkshake has enough dairy content to balance the cookie but in honesty even after sharing these we still felt a bit over indulged. But I would do it again in a heartbeat! Price So I feel that this place is on the upper side of value, they are pushing it in terms of price but to be honest I would pay it again as the whole experience felt that little bit nicer than the ordinary cafe scene. What's an extra £1 or 2 for somewhere that you enjoy spending an hour or so! Overall If I lived closer I would pay this place a regular visit. I think it's a little gem in Bristols cafe scene.

I’d definitely recommend going here!! ◉ The cake slice is good for how much money it is, decently sized, definitely surprised by it most of the time when I buy a cake from somewhere it’s more on the smaller size but not this one it’s a fairly big slice. ◉ I got the Matilda chocolate cake, it was quite sickly and Rich. If you don’t like rich chocolate or you can’t handle sickly cake then I recommend trying something else. ◉ This was my first time there I would go again and try something different. I’ll update this review every time I go there!! ♥ #1 update: ❂ my uncle went and had a victoria sponge cake covered in white and milk melted chocolate. He said that it tasted amazing, he would definitely have it again. ❂ He also said: “The raspberry jam had an extremely strong flavour even when covered in a lot of melted chocolate. Perfect size, wasn’t sickly at all. Definitely recommend trying it.” ♥ #2 update: ◉ I tried the victoria sponge cake covered in white and milk melted chocolate, it was great however it wasn't really my thing, I would still recommend it though. ◉ I also brought a white chocolate and raspberry blondie to take home, which disappointingly wasn't very good... The texture was the worst part it was mushy and not pleasant! ♥ #3 update: My mum and uncle went and got themselves a mini Victoria spongc cake and a Matilda cake/chocolate cake and also brought home a Matilda cake for me and it honestly was so delicious bought home. Definitely recommend takeout and having it at home it’s so good! ♥ #4 Update: I have the chocolate dream cake this time 0/10 It was horrible definitely wouldn’t recommend that cake it was nasty 🤮 tasted very dark and the frosting tasted of nothing literally…..

Popped in for a quick snack with a friend. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (I had a lot of questions as a first time customer!). The cafe has a very cosy feel, plenty of places to sit. Big windows at the front with tables in the back if wanted. Unfortunately, I feel like the food really let them down. I've got a massive sweet tooth but there was absolutely no balance to any of their food. It ended up being sickening after just a shared cupcake. I got the salted caramel pretzel cupcake, my hopes being that the saltiness in the pretzel will balance the chocolate. Instead the pretzel seemed a bit stale and I couldn't taste any salt at all. The chocolate icing was way too thick. The caramel in the middle was almost a non sequitur. It added nothing, completely drowned out by the cake itself. This led to a disappointing cupcake for me. I would expect a choclate cafe to have chocolate + fruit products. Like a raspberry chocolate cake or something. So I think I was also disappointed by the lack of variety. It's definitely a child's dream, just chocolate, nothing else. The drinks were fine, just like any cafe, they were nothing special. I enjoyed my chai but it was a bit overpriced for me. Wouldn't recommend personally, but it comes down to taste preference!

It was a busy time during the visit on a weekend but I was just shocked how rude can the service be, we were greeted normally and placed our order, since the place was full we couldn't get a place to sit so we went with the option to takeaway, we waited to pick our order up since that is how a takeaway order works,

I saw our order being held by one of the staff as a dine in order but they couldn't find us as we were standing as we had it as a takeaway and I didn't want to assume that , that order was ours , after some time I wanted to clarify that was my order since I could hear the staff chatting about the order, the staff clarified with another staff and gave that receipt to him so while I reached out to clarify since they gave me eye contact too, the guy had the most look of disgust at me and held the receipt away with the assumption I might steal the order ? It wasn't a positive assumption for sure and they verified the order after I managed to list down the order. And I carried the order to the table since the table is now available. I do not want to assume this is racism but I doubt this treatment would be given to a local since I am foreign but is this how every foreigner is treated in this place ? With full of doubt and hostility? I did not feel welcomed at all as there were no apology from the staff and I won't be going back anymore as this was supposed to be a cute birthday celebration date to turn that day to a sour reminder that racism and prejudice...
