I really like The Stable, the food gives you some cool options, it focuses around stone baked pizza, Mac and cheese and tater tots but each have some pretty cool toppings options to choose from. In particular though I like the range of ciders you get, there's a massive mix of different ciders, from sweet to dry, still to sparkling and also plenty of different fruit flavoured options too. I really like the taster board for the ciders but it is a set few ciders and I don't think there was a huge amount of change between February and May which is a shame. It would be cool to have even the current mix, and then a still mix and a sparkling mix so at least that way you can customise it a little bit. The atmosphere has been great both times, it's the sort of place I'm happy to take either my mates to or my family to. The aesthetic is great and the mural on our wall got us talking to the tables around us trying to work out who recognised the most famous Bristolians we could. The staff have been great both times too and I am certain I will be back again in the future!

\\ MULTIPLE IMAGES ⚠️ @_thebristolstable serves organic sourdough pizzas without any preservatives!! 🤩 they make their pizza dough fresh everyday and source all their ingredients locally! 🦋 ANDDD, they are located right on the banks of River Avon! Perfect no? . . Okay, I had no idea that hazelnuts on pizza taste amazing 😬 and beans, terrible!! 🙄 . . We had hazelnutter and blazing jack pizzas by the riverside (the views were picturesque 🥰🥰🥰, perfect for our anniversary lunch!) As much as I enjoyed the hazelnuts, the beans kinda ruined the pizza for me 🙅♀, but the blazing jack pizza was 🔥 esp their butterbean aioli 👏🏻(swipe for images ⬅️) . . BTW, they have an open kitchen and live 🎶 You can smell their delicious pizza sauce from far!! 🏃♀I was super drawn to the aroma while we were walking towards this place 🤭 . . Also, if you are looking for a sweet spot by the harbor to grab pizza with wine or cider, this place is spot on‼️and you can even do cider tasting! 🍻🍕 they are very famous for their ciders too! .

So thought id give the stable a try for the first time with my partner, now I wish I hadn’t! So you walk into the restaurant and like most it says wait here to be seated. Waiting for a what seemed forever and no one came to us so we decided to walk in and try our luck at the bar. Bar tender was really polite said not to worry about waiting just order drinks from me pick a table then come to bar to order food. So we order a drink then order two pizzas. One came out cold the other really hot so one must have been waiting for the other before they get to our table. Unfortunately the hot one was half nuked and half the pizza was inedible. Also when you go to the bar for anything weather it’s food or drink they ask you every time for a tip. Yet they have a tip card payment thing for all To see next to the till. It’s just really uncomfortable bring asked every time you ask for a drink. I can tip when I feel like it usually after a mean with the tip payment card that says tips on it at the end of bar! All in all the pizza was not that good. We paid £42 for take drinks with two pizzas. Would I go back? No

It was an indication on how the evening would progress when the waitress asked for our order before giving us any menus. There were only 7 of us and as it was midweek the place wasn’t full, but that didn’t reflect in the service. The starters were specifically asked to arrive with the mains - didn’t happen, starters were the only food that arrived warm, took a while for them to arrive but they did arrive about an hour before the mains. When the mains finally arrived nobody was complimentary of the food and we had to wait a long time for the tata tots to appear and even longer for the salads - salad was quite possibly sourced from the garden of Eden. Normally this would be the lowest rating from me, but they accepted they had had an epic fail and cleared our food and drinks bill. Would I go back, probably not, should you go, maybe, if you like their pizzas and are willing to take a gamble it’ll be worth a punt.

Look good right? Well... Not my first time here. I'd usually recommend it as it's a nice place with views of the river, it's modern and the music is good too. It's moderately expensive as pizzas are not too big, but it's a nice place to hang out at. Today's food didn't meet my expectations though. I came two days ago and the pizzas were alright. Today we ordered 2 salmon salads and cheese and garlic bread. Well, the garlic bread base was soft, not cooked enough, not crispy and not very tasty. The cheese was just melted, not even a bit toasted, but that could be just the way they do it. I did not like it. The salmon salads were tasteless, literally. I love salmon and love salads, this was really not a good one. Hope it was just a one off bad experience, because the place was full. At least they do the bee sting cider which is great, and the music and the venue are still nice. Hope you do better next time guys.

We had a gluten free Margarita pizza. It was safe for a celiac to eat, but just an average tasting pizza nothing great. We were concerned when ordering the GF pizza. If you are sitting outside, they require you to order the GF pizza at the bar. The bartender was extremely busy. When we ordered the GF pizza, he said the cheese was not GF. We had him check with a manager and the cheese was GF so it was added. We were concerned with the GF safety, but the pizza was safe for a celiac to eat. We also had a regular crust ham and pineapple pizza. This was again, just ok. Great atmosphere if you get a table outside on the canal, but the food is just average.
