My experience is based entirely on the food and service. It may be a really fun place to go for drinks, but I couldn't comment on that.

I chose BSB purely because they had a free table outside and it was a nice day. I ordered the lamb kofte, but the barmaid came back to tell me that they didn't have any. So I chose the Lamb and Mint burger from their 'gourmet burger' selection. The staff were all very friendly and are the reason this review gets 2 stars rather than none at all.

Now, the definition of 'Gourmet' is ":of or characteristic of a gourmet, especially in involving or purporting to involve high-quality or exotic ingredients and skilled preparation:"

What I received was a piece of meat between two piece of bun with 2 bits of lettuce thrown on top. The burger itself was the kind you get in kebab vans. The type of low quality meat you get in wholesale supermarkets at £1 for 10 burgers. It certainly wasn't high quality. The bun was also embarrassingly cheap. Much like the kind you can pick up in Iceland for 50p. This burger did not even come close to being 'gourmet'. It even came with oven chips. I could have popped in Tesco, bought some ingredients and have made a better burger myself for half the price (it cost £6.95) BSB should be embarrassed to pass off food of such low quality as 'gourmet' and even more embarrassed to charge almost £7 for it. It's a £4 burger at best. If they had labelled it as "Cheap No-Frills Burger" and sold it for £4 it would have been absolutely fine.

So, in short, the service was great, but don't bother with...

Went here for a drink with my brother who is in a wheelchair and we had to sit outside as there is no wheelchair access. His partner (it was his 22nd birthday and he definitely doesn't look under 18) went to the bar to get drinks. The bar person, who had a stinking attitude from the outset, poured the drinks and then asked for ID. Unfortunately, he didn't have ID so was refused the drinks, which is fair, but some manners about it might have been nice. The server then poured the drinks down the drain, including the coke. When my brothers partner asked if he could just buy the coke, he was told there is a £5 minimum on card spend (apprently this place is a corner shop from 2006). I don't know if the owners read this, but if you do; putting a minimum spend on cards, whilst not illegal, is against the core rules set out by Visa (it's on page 109). It is also in terms and conditions for Mastercard that there should not be a minimum or maximum payment set and these companies have been known to cease working with or even fine businesses that do this! I have reported your business to both of these companies via their online form.

If only your server had possessed some basic manners. Really hope this doesn't cause too much of a...

Shocking!!!! DO NOT GO THERE I went to order their biggest burger £13 and it states on menu to add an egg £1 which I wanted, the woman said she couldn't add it on the till because it wasn't an option, I said that its only on the till you could do it for me as it is a mistake with your till and cleary is an option on the menu and she said no because we cant charge you I said that's ok and she said "errr no it isn't" I wanted to speak to the manager and he totally ignored me whilst he was chatting to staff casually doing something on the till and it was not busy at this time THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHOCKING with a pint the bill would of been £18 and they messed me around for a 15p egg, obviously they come from a different culture and don't care at all about customer service ive never had such an annoying...

Been here recently and all covid 19 rules were followed except when one staff member was not wearing a mask. It was a gathering with friends and we sat outside by the boats on the harbourside. Food was delicious and came in good time, kept our drinks topped up. But however didn't tell us about any special offers or tried to up sell. Food was a little expensive for someone on a tight budget but was top quality. Pizza was very stringy but a little to hot for my liking. Table was a little wobbly and chairs were uncomfortable. Overall great experience would recommend it

Such a simple meal.to cook, cheesy chips. How can anyone muck this up. Well here you go.first bar or restaurant in the UK. If I could give a zero for the food, that would be too generous. Waited 30 minutes for cheesy chips, then I asked where my food is, tasted like they had been under the sun bed for 12 hours. Half a plate and rubbery. The only thing going for this place is the sports. Before pictures and after, couldn’t finish it no matter how hungry I was. If you want to wast £4 on chips then come here.
