First visit here mixed views on the reviews but decided to give it a try. Don't agree that the service was bad I was served by a friendly welcoming member of staff she had blue hair and was very polite. Coffee ☕ was hot and although not as strong as I like it was still good as was the carrot cake 😋 would recommend. Very reasonably priced. Interior clean and although a bit outdated it had character. I would come again

A really nice find. Didn't get to try the coffee but the price is Super affordable. My scones and milkshake was onlyÂŁ4.4 and there were two scones, I was full afterwards. The price of coffee and drinks is the most reasonable I've seen. The interior is quite old fashioned and rustic which is quite charming.

I haven’t been to Woods for several years, and I have to say I was really sadly disappointed. The atmosphere has gone, the breakfast menu is very limited (no egg) and they don’t have WIFI. It’s almost if they don’t want people to spend time there. Real shame.

Consistently disappointing. From the acrid tar soup proclaiming to be coffee, to the scantly filled sandwiches. It's a nice place to sit though. If you just want some hot water and a chat with friends, it's perfect.

Just in response to an expectedly defensive reply - It matters not if I come to your establishment again. Perhaps it's near my office, perhaps I thought the first time must've been a mistake... I have sadly been proven right in everything I perceived. I didn't mention when the sandwiches were made. I rarely write reviews. The energy behind your response pervades the culture of your cafe. I made a mistake to go back, one I won't repeat.

Thanks for the courtesy in replying. Calling someone FOS on your own review channel doesn't vindicate how bad your coffees are or how empty my sandwich was. I would take a picture next time, but I won't be back.

Problem isn't the coffee, it is...

My friend and I walked past this little coffee shop whilst staying in Bristol. It was a nice Wednesday evening, 5:45pm. We walked in to both get a coffee and potentially any food that was on offer but were immediately (and rudely) told it was closed. We questioned this as the sign on the door said closing at 6pm and all the staff (1 guy and 1 girl) had to offer was a shrug of their shoulders. As we exited we kindly suggested they change the time on their sign, to be met with more shoulder shrugging. Won’t bother going back to try the coffee, whatever time it is they open. Note: we went to Mrs Potts which is a beautiful little cafe located just next door, to be met by 2 lovely girls who excelled in their service and the coffee was delicious. I suggest any coffee drinkers bypass Woodes and go straight to this newly opened Mrs Potts - we...

Really disappointed with service, will not be returning. Ordered a take away sandwich. Waited over 30mins before chasing. During this time only 5 other customers and 3 to 4 staff chatting. Not at all interested in reading the room - we were sat opposite counter. When I did chase it was clear oder had not even been put through to the kitchen. A refund was offered and accepted, yet given with attitude by staff & no receipt offered, despite querying how I knew it had been refunded. I appreciate staff are probably students and would rather not be working on a Saturday morning, yet I do not think it is too much to ask for a little attention to your...
