Oh, it actually breaks my heart to just give Five Guys, 4 stars instead of all five! I love the joint! The fries (or āchipsā here in the UK) are amazing and generous* Dip them in their mayo and itās just heaven! (Also good to know thet thry support local farms).
The burgers are just as scrumptious with crazy number options for the toppings! I love the cheese too that I often ask for extra on my cheeseburger!
Not to mention that youāre just spoilt for the drink (soda) choices! My own soda mix: Coke Zero Lemon + Schweppes cloudy lemon + a tad of Orange! And, you can refill for free! Whatās not to like?
I often go in the weekend once a week Or when Iām stressed out. Itās a delicious comfort food!
Now, the reason Iām taking out a star from the review is because the serving of fries doesnāt seem to be consistent. Sometimes its the good āol generous size that we all love but sometimes itās too small. 1 or 2 years back (itās now 2025), i could barely finish an order of Little Fries! Nowadays, I sometimes wonder if there was something wrong with my order (Extra-Little Fries?) or theyāve just become a tad stingy on the potatoes. This often happens on weekends (in Cambridge Market Square) but Iām not sure. Maybe more people dining? And itās not always bad. Sometimes itās good sometimes bad, but enough to notice.
The staff are also quite friendly! A few stand out as quite welcoming and often says hi and remembers frequent customers!!
Anyway, this is (still) my favorite burger joint, here or elsewhere in the world (e.g. Singapore, Philippines)!
Prices arenāt cheap but not at all expensive considering what youāre getting!
Also, I should mention: Iām pleasantly surprised that you have excellent mobile data/signal even down at their spacious lower ground...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFive Guys, like a premium version of McDonald's, everything is singular so you have to add things, I.e if you want like a meal, you have to buy the burger, chips and drink separately, which is about of a pain but it is what it is.
Their burgers are really nice and you can have any toppings on top for free, I think there's about 12 (could be wrong) to choose from which is good.
The chips are nice as well, I prefer the spicy fries personally, which have a kick but won't kill your tonsils, I don't really like spicy food so they're just right for me, the give you a cup of fries plus chuck a scoop in the bottom of the bag so you get a decent amount of them which is nice.
The milkshakes are nice, not as thick of McDonald's ones where you have to wait for an age for it to melt before you can drink them, you can drink them straight away and they are nice flavours too.
They do drinks from a vending machine which is unlimited I think which is also good but I haven't tried that yet.
Over all part from been quite pricey it's good, I had a double burger which a large fries plus a milkshake which came up to £19.00 so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast weekend I take my girlfriend to this place they call Five Guys. My wife donāt know, so please, we keep this between us.
Anyway, we walk in, and I start counting, one guy on the till, one guy on the grill⦠then boom, two ladies flipping burgers! I look around and whisper, āEhh, false advertising, my friend! This not Five Guys, this Three Guys, Two Girls!ā
But listen, the food? Fantasti. The burger juicy like summer romance, the fries crispy like new Ā£50 note. I take one bite, look at my girlfriend, and say, āIf my wife ever find out, Iām blaming the milkshake.ā You know what I mean ha ha.
The vibe good, and the peanuts free, I like that part, I feel like lucky squirrel. Only problem, I nearly drop my fries when I see the price, but you know what, it worth it.
Five star for the food, tastes mazing.
Still, Iāll be back, maybe next time with the wife⦠or maybe not. Ha Ha, you...
