UPDATE RE RESPONSE ** we visited on Wednesday about 1.45 pm and it wasnât overly busy. Ordered a caramel latte so if you donât do caramel maybe we should have been told at the time when we paid for them although it was on your menu as a syrup and still is online as Iâve just checked. I very rarely put a negative review on here and I donât do it lightly but I still find 20 mins for two coffees, one not what we were expecting, a long time to wait and donât feel thatâs unfair . * We stopped in here for a quick coffee and what a disappointment it was! We ordered our coffee and then waited 20 minutes before it came. We had no food so didnât expect to have to wait this long for two drinks. The coffee wasnât the best either, the caramel latte had no caramel in it but we didnât go back with it as we didnât want to wait another 20 mins for a replacement drink. We didnât mention it to anyone at the time as we just wanted to leave and get on with our day. Canât comment on the food but we wouldnât go back because of the service and there are much better places with a...
Read moreI really want to give this place a higher rating because the concept is great, the selection of teas is astonishing but the execution is lacking. The lady serving us was delightful, she was smiley, welcoming, chatty, bubbly, I think she's a lot of the reason I would have liked to give a higher rating. However.. unfortunately when I asked about ingredients in the cakes she didn't know. There's a sign saying to ask about food intolerance, but it's no good asking if the staff don't know what's in the cake.. butter icing? Cream? I can eat one and not the other as I'm lactose intolerant. The other thing that really put me off was the appallingly filthy state of the customer toilet. Thick with dust and grime, out of loo roll, and nearly out of soap. I didn't want to touch any surface in there. I've also just read another review about single use plastic... I didn't see how the tea was made, but I would be horrified if I'd seen intake first in a disposable cup, then poured in the mug. I do hope not. A couple of improvements needed to make this...
Read moreWe visited Teastones Cafe on a quiet Sunday morning and was thoroughly impressed. The food was simply outstandingâgenerous portions at a very reasonable price made it a great value. Each dish was prepared with care, and the presentation added a touch of elegance to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
Although the pumpkin spice latte didnât quite hit the mark, the rich and creamy mocha more than made up for it. Its deep chocolate notes perfectly complemented the meal, making it a treat to savor. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, adding a personal touch that made the experience feel special.
The ambience of Teastones is what youâd hope to find in a charming Canterbury cafe: quaint decor, a relaxed vibe, and plenty of characterâideal for enjoying a leisurely morning. Itâs the kind of place where you can unwind and savor your meal without feeling rushed. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful breakfast spot in the heart...
