Growing up eating Persian food at home, I miss having proper and authentic Middle Eastern flavours as they're hard to come by in this area. My boyfriend and I came for Friday date night and everything we had was absolutely delicious. Definitely wanting to come back again. The owner and wait staff were also very friendly, and I really enjoyed it when they started playing Turkish music in the background as it reminded me of visiting home and it really added to the atmosphere. My only thing I wish was different was that I wish on an evening they would dim the lights and have candles on the table to create a romantic atmosphere. The lights are extremely bright which kind of take away the "date night" atmosphere I was hoping for, but honestly the food was delicious and reasonably priced so I'd still...

We came at lunchtime without booking and got a table for two. Had a cup of tea which was served in a cup with a teabag in it and small cartons of milk. Dreadful! Get teapot and proper milk. But we didn't really go for tea, hence 4 stars. The food was delicious, the salad not over dressed, the waiter was attentive without being intrusive. We chicken kebab that was so soft and cooked so well with a pide ( that is how you spell it) with minced lamb and cheese with side salad. Think long thin pizza without basil. Will be having that again. We also had some Turkish black tea and piece of proper Turkish delight. So much better than the normal tea...so that's recommended as well. Immediately opposite by the way is Carlisle castle so go...

I love Turkish food so it is a massive disappointment for me that I will not dine at this restaurant again. The food was not the traditional Turkish food I was hoping for ( I’ve been married to a Turk for 10 years so I know what I’m talking about) I started to wander if the cook is even Turkish? There was a group of 12 who were REALLY loud , we could not hear ourselves nor the music playing . Very annoying, we thought that this group could have been seated upstairs away from everyone else, so that we could all enjoy our evening. The staff were lovely and professional but overall huge disappointment. Will not go again nor do...

Last minute booking for a meal here & they were really helpful in fitting us in. The food was delicious, full of flavour & we struggled to finish the whole plate as there was so much. The service was pretty quick, polite & friendly, all at a reasonable price too. We would definitely visit again if we're in the area. The only gripe I would say was the sound of the waitress boots marching up & down as she served other guests, it sounded like a full on march was taking place each time she passed, maybe something a little softer under foot may be more appropriate for the ears.

First time visit after hearing great reviews from friends have to say friendly staff great you on entry escort you to your table, then you are treated like royalty. Had the hot meze for starter wife had garlic mushrooms then for main I had mixed kebab ( chilli 🌶 sauce is hot ) bare this in mind. Wife had ..can't remember. First class service additional birthday platter I never asked for I only mentioned the booking was for my wife's birthday...which restaurant do you know that does that free and gives you free shots. I have been to Anatolia a few times now, every visit has been excellent! Their menu has a variety of options suitable for individuals and groups; We had the Cold Mix Meze to start and the 'Anatolia Special 1' for our group, it was very flavourful and filling, and great value for money! I'd also happily recommend the Chicken Iskender and Sucuklu Pide (no.4) too! If you've not been to Anatolia for a meal with friends/family then you're seriously missing out on trying this amazing food!
