If I could give no stars I would. First of all it was lunch time, there was only one other table of customers in. After being told to wait at the table to be served, it took them 15minutes to even come and take our order. I had looked on their website the night before and seen they did delicious sounding puddings (I am a puddingholic). I had decided to have a mega shake, this was supposed to contain cream, ice-cream, a whole doughnut, chocolate milkshake, assortment of chocolate treats and finally drizzled in Nutella. Sounds like a dream. What I actually received was a normal chocolate milkshake with squirty cream, chocolate chips and that cheap chocolate sauce you get that's like syrup.
When the lady returned with my sweet potato fries dripping in oil, I asked her if it was a normal milkshake or a mega shake I had received. To which she confirmed it was a mega shake. I then had to inform her that it was missing the doughnut, Nutella and assortment of chocolate treats. She did apologise and said she would sort it. She returned with 4 stale mini doughnuts, the kind you can buy from Tesco in a plastic box 20 for £1. At this point, my sister in law had to return to work, so I paid and left. In hindsight I should have refused to pay and sent everything back. By the way the "mega shake"...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was such a pretty cafe and the menu really provides something for everyone. We opted for the all day brunch, full English breakfast, and chocolate pancakes. I have to say the sausages were great! Good quality and full of flavour. My mushrooms were buttery and the bacon added a lovely saltiness to the plate. The pancakes were light, fluffy and came with a generous helping of fresh strawberries and Nutella. We felt that one or two things could have been improved or lacked finesse. My scrambled egg was well-overcooked and rubbery in texture and the fried potatoes had lost all their crisp. I wasnāt personally a fan of the tomatoes, they appeared as though they had come straight from a can⦠a roasted tomato would have been a welcome alternative. Overall it was a very enjoyable brunch in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time trying this cafe ,wasn't impressed. Myself and hubbie went in on a Saturday around 2 pm. Only 3 other people in there but still waited 35 mins for food. Unfortunately was uncomfortably cold in there also as they will not close the door š we were told due to covid . On the other hand food was lovely . I had jacket potato with cheese beans but was a bit puzzled as to why the cheese and beans were not on the potato but placed at the side of the potato with the beans being in a little pot . This proved to be difficult for me to pour them onto my potato as the pot was very hot š„ Ouch. My hubbie had gammon and egg with chips .he said it was lovely food also . Expensive though . I wouldn't go again but nice to...
