A Perfect Blend — Restaurant in Charnwood

Would not eat here again, the staff members are very rude to certain customers, I visited last week, even though there was space to eat inside, the lady who was taking orders asked me and my family to eat on the outside as the tables were taken, we sat outside in what was a very gloomy and wet day, we ordered three coffees and breakfast, whilst waiting for our coffees to cool down a staff member came outside and asked if I had used the sugar (I had but the two people I was with had not yet) I responded with yes and before I could say more she took the whole box containing the sugars and placed them inside on another families, who had just arrived table. Around five minutes later I asked the member of staff if we could have our sugars back as the two with me have not got the chance to use them yet, she came back out and to our surprise only provided us with two sachets of brown sugar, we did not know if this was a joke being played on us but the choice of brown sugar and the quantity she had bought back to us was quite degrading to say the least as we had ordered and was there first before the couple who had arrived.

Our breakfast came out and our toast was completely black and crispy, i took it back in and the older lady serving laughed and said I'll give you a new one, by the time that had come out we had already nearly finished the breakfast.

The breakfast itself was not cooked with any form of passion, the sausages were cold when bought to the table, the only thing cooked to an okay standard was the eggs, whilst we was eating we felt and seen the staff members inside looking and laughing at us which made us feel very uncomfortable, not to mention the whole time we was there, the two tables which were available inside but we had been told had been taken had infact not been taken, the whole time we was there until the moment we left nobody had taken the tables, we felt because of our appearance (this is me putting it politely) the staff made us sit outside in the cold and rain because we may stick out to what they wanted inside their cafe.

Will not be returning, very degrading and in this day and age we feel there is no place for this type of mindset...

Clean and reasonably priced decent coffee. However, when I went in, I was in very casual clothes with no make up, my hair just wacked up in a top knot and sunglasses on, I by no means looked trampy, but not my usual glamorous self either, and even though the woman serving was nice, some of the customers (who were all women in their 40's or 50's+) kept looking at me disapprovingly as if I was in the wrong place or something and they kept on doing it....it made me feel self conscious and very uncomfortable and I don't know what the problem was. The customers all seemed to be middle class older women, which is totally fine, but seemed judgemental. Yes I have Botox lip fillers and a boon job, but I don't feel this is reason enough to keep staring at me like this. It actually really upset me. I went in there as I had an hour to kill as I had work in an hour but I could only bare it for 20 mins! It's sad this happened cos the place looked very nice and chill and the coffee was gorgeous. The toilet was clean and had a lovely hand wash. And there was some nice cakes...

I went for breakfast with my 8 year old daughter this morning (Sat 10/05/25) and there were lots of people inside enjoying food and drinks. There was a spare table and as my daughter went over to sit down I was told we could only sit at the breakfast bar, not the table. Obviously, the bar had very high chairs, not ideal for a child, and I was not sure why we were not allowed to sit at a table but everyone else was. We left as my daughter was asking why we had been refused a table but everyone else in there (who were a lot older) were allowed. Obviously our faces didn't fit! Horrible, rude place.

In response to your reply you certainly didn't 'explain' anything. You're only words to me were "it's only the breakfast bar open...." no explanation and end of conversation. As is said, very rude and as I've read other reviews, not uncommon. LOL... as if we'd...
