Peri Peri Delight — Restaurant in Charnwood

Ordered at 20:20 this evening and was told it should be here at 21.25 as the restaurant added five extra mins to the delivery time which was fine. At 21:20 I called just to check on the order and see where it was, to which I had a polite man answer that it was already out for order and should be there in 2-3 mins. At 21:40 there was still nothing, and so I called again and asked where it was as I only live 5 mins from the take away. They said there were no more deliveries out for order and it should be there in 2-3 mins. I explained I was already told this once before 20 mins ago and they said they'd call the driver and find out what was going on. Finally at 22:00 did the driver come, no apology whatsoever but I told him I wanted to check the food to make sure it wasn't cold. They had already forgotten my drink and missed off my extra peri sauce I ordered and put in normal mayo rather than garlic mayo, but it was the chips that were awful. They were hard and stale and stone cold. I politely told the driver that unfortunately I won't be able to eat this and gave it back to him, but offered to pay the £1.99 for the veggie burger as my mum was starving and said it would be okay. The driver said that no it was okay and he walked off. 5 mins later I get a call demanding the £2 as I'd kept the burger and I said that that's what I'd said to him originally but that he could coke bsck and collect it. By this point I was out on my way, starving to get a McDonald's and waiting for him to collect the £2 but after 10 mins he didn't turn up. I called him to ask where he was as I was waiting but he rudely said he didn't care and wasn't going to come and put the phone down on me. I then kept getting a couple of calls from the restaurant which I didn't answer because as a young girl I felt uncomfortable getting the calls. They then cancelled the order in just eat so that I couldn't give an honest and fair review. The chicken looked okay that they delivered and he veggie burger was alright but definstlrt not worth the 2 hour wait or the attitude that came with! Disappointing because the guys on the phone at the take away seemed lovely. I should have listened to the reviews on just eat about them delivering late but I hoped the food would be worth it! Unfortunately it wasn't.

In the past this place has been relatively alright however i recently ordered a chicken pizza. When the pizza arrived it looked good and seem to contain everything described. After taking a single bite i instantly spat it out as the chicken was not chicken! It looked like spicy chicken but it was more like a flour and water batter spiced and shaped as chicken! I called the restaurant and they where friendly enough agreed with what i said but told me i couldn't have a refund. In the end i received just one replacement pizza when id originally paid for 2 in a buy one get one free deal. I was annoyed not to get the money back or food to the same value! The replacement pizza was just the same even though a staff member assured me he would ensure the pizza was done correctly. I dont know how you can get away with advertising a product as chicken when its clearly a flour and water batter!! I am truely appalled with what i received and how they tried to convince me that is was chicken. It left a rather repulsive taste in my mouth, almost like eating raw, thick, flour water batter. I spent a good 15 mins washing out my mouth and brushing my teeth! My experience was soo bad i completely deleted my "just eat" account and i have decided i will never eat a takeaway again especially this kind of cheap fast food junk. Do your self a favour, save your money and health and cook a decent meal at home! Still absolutely mortified...

Wrong Food/Rude behavior

I have been ordering from this place for more than a year but what happend today was disappointing and I would never order from here again.

I placed my order through uber eats a 7" Hot and spicy chicken pizza..I received a pizza with beef on it, I called them and told about this, the guy who picked the phone he refused to believe its beef and kept saying it was chicken so I sent him a picture of the pizza and he confirmed its beef and he said he would send me a 10" chicken pizza (I did not ask for 10"). So later at 4.40pm I received my so called lunch this chicken pizza and gave them their beef pizza back as they asked. I took a bite of the chicken pizza, god it was awful, there was no pizza sauce like who forgets pizza sauce. I called them again to inform that they didnt add pizza sauce and I dont want any more pizzas. The guy on the phone he said he added the sauce and he knows to make pizzas and Im keep on LIEING..He kept raising his voice and hung up the call.

Never ever order from this place I have wasted my money and starved. If the owner of this place reads this know that "We customers buy food with our money we dont have to lie to get your free greasy...
