Perilicious — Restaurant in Charnwood

I actually had a bad experience the with my last order with burned over cooked and inedible food. I did leave the restaurant some constructive feedback so that they may improve. Dont get me wrong some of the food is actually good hence why I gave them another chance. I'd even called in to give them a heads up that I was not happy the last time and please try to get it right.

Got the order and the cheese burger was actually really nice no issue with that one. The fries we had where over cooked and heavily salted, the excessive salt continued with the fried chicken this was soo soo salty it was actually disgusting the very thought of it is making me feel ill. Then the fried chicken burger was not too bad just a bit dry what killed it was the literally charred bun making the entire burger just taste of burn! I dont think the chef, more like cook I should say has actually tasted what they are selling surely a staff member or the actual owner has some kind of standard of quality? Whoever put the burger together surely could see it was totally burned, how much does a bun cost? Why not just replace it? If I was eating in the restaurant I would have not eaten it and expected my money back! This will be the last time we order from here. It's a shame because some of the food is actually good. I work had to earn my money like we all do, I cant afford to pay for food for it to be put in the bin, to top it off we end having to make a sandwich because the meal you paid for was just not edible. Simply unacceptable. My biggest concern is that this restaurant will deplete the earth of its salt resources. I wasn't going to put a review but I genuinely feel horrible to the point I've actually made myself sick, the decision to order from here again has ruined my evening! You will not be receiving any more of my money!! To the restaurant, taste what you are selling so you understand what kind of food you are expecting people to pay for! To the people, I guess make your own mind up and if you get the fried chicken just make sure you have 10L of water to had as you will be hella dehydrated! Takeaways come and go in Loughborough.... I'd be surprised if this one makes it through the next year....

I stumbled across this family run restaurant in the middle of Loughborough city centre and had the best meal I have had in Loughborough. I had the chicken supreme and chicken tikka. The quality of the chicken was really good as it was tender and juicy. I then tried all their chicken dishes 1 day at a time and I have been very pleased with my experience. Their peri peri chicken flavour feels very infused and fresh and it is the best peri peri chicken I have had. The staff is also very welcoming as the brother and sister duo ( owners ) and the head chef greet the customers personally and are very open to feedback. The ambience gives a sense of humbleness and being in nature with plants all over the restaurant. It is also very student friendly as student discount is offered and the prices are very reasonable even without the discount. I come here very often to dine as well as to study while enjoying the nice coffee and desserts. I recommend Perilicious to anyone looking for an authentic, friendly, indulging and humble...

Second time me and my partner have visited this restaurant,

The first time wasn't planned as the place we originally wanted to go was closed. We looked through several restaurants windows and menus and decided to give it a try. We were treated very respectfully and welcomed by every single staff member. The chef even approached the table which as little as it sounds, was a very nice touch that we’ve not had anywhere else in Loughborough. The food was easily the best that we’ve had and this establishment is easily our first choice whenever we go out for food.

The second time was just as good service and food wise. We had the steak and chicken this time, which again was incomparable with anything else we’ve had in Loughborough. The mash was unbelievable!

To anyone passing by or even considering this restaurant, give it a chance and you’ll not regret it. Both times we’ve been have proven to be better than anything else in the area.
