Ordered online and received email confirmation at 17:49 saying it would be delivered in 90 minutes. A long time but fair enough. Had to ring at 19:40 to enquire when it would be with me. Was put on hold for a few minutes and then told someone would be leaving the restaurant shortly and I said that would mean it will be nearly two hours by the time it arrives. The man on the phone apologised and said "I could give you a bottle of wine if you like" I said I don't drink and he just said I'm sorry again (strangely did not offer anything else like a soft drink at this point). It arrived fairly soon after I rang at about 19:55. After I'd eaten my starter I realised they had not sent my naan bread so I had to ring them back and they apologised again and said to "leave it with them". My naan bread arrived at 20:20 after I'd finished my meal. There was no offer of compensation or any free products thrown in on either delivery by way of an apology. The second time a different delivery driver to the first just handed me a carrier bag with my naan in and grumbled a barely audible apology. The first driver was more sincerely apologetic to be fair. I would have thought that that would have offered some sort of good will gesture for this poor experience such as a bottle of soft drink after I said I didn't drink alcohol. The food was good quality.

Unfortunately for this restaurant I would suggest you avoid it based on an excessively long delivery time, errors in the order and a fairly blahze attitude towards customer service. I won't use again and they have lost my custom when they had an opportunity to keep it had the handled my issue with a more...

When we ordered the food online (7pm) it said it would take 50mins - 1hr 20 mins which is reasonable on a Saturday night. It reached 1hr 30 so we tried to call the restaurant (several times) but no one picked up. After waiting 2 hours from placing our order and still not being able to get through on the phone we decided to drive to the restaurant. At this point it had been 2 hours 10 minutes.

We arrived and explained how long it had been to the staff member, they didn’t apologise just asked for the order details and they’d have a look. It was all bagged up in their heater box but just not delivered. My husband tried to call the phone number when we were in the restaurant but we couldn’t hear the phone ringing. When we complained to the staff member and requested some money back (at this point it’s 9:15pm) he said he couldn’t authorise it as there was no manager in and we needed to call back tomorrow. I explained we’ve called multiple times this evening but not got through, how can they guarantee we will get through tomorrow - he openly admitted they’d turned the phone off that evening, so this explains why we couldn’t get through to anyone for an update on our order.

This is awful business practice to turn your phone off and accept too many orders to be able to handle on a Saturday night and then not allow any communication when people’s orders are late. By the time we got home it was 2.5 hours later than when we ordered and the naans were cold.

We were really disappointed in every aspect from Salim’s and will never be ordering...

I AM SO ANNOYED!! Why.. as someone from the east end of Sheffield do I have to travel to Loughborough to find the best Indian food I've ever had?? 😆😆 Seriously - this place is awesome and you WILL be in love with the food. It's ridiculously good. To start, most local Indians will just go to Bookers / Costco / Makro and buy the cheapest shiz on the shelves. Not here. The food is obviously fresh and of good quality. Even the Poppadoms were obviously fresh and were crisp and tasty. Not oily or dry. But the mains. Ohhhhhh the mains. Quality cuts of meat in a fresh, glistening sauce that was obviously made from scratch. And absolutely DEEEEE-LISH-USSS!! Not sure if the photos do it justice but put naan breads were delivered in manageable sizes; not the ridiculous elephant ear size jobbies you often get. And tastes AMAZING!! The best part? Service was attentive but not intrusive. They looked for empty glasses but didn't pressure the customers. I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to go back. Take a bow,...

Food (taste): 5/5 Food (presentation): 4/5 Atmosphere/building: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Great tasting food, with good portion sizes as the meals do tend to be slightly on the expensive side. Most if not all of the meals came with raw red onion on the top as a garnish piece. Large variety of foods across the starters, mains, and specialties. The tables were of slightly different heights and sizes, the lights only half worked and would flicker, generally too hot/stuffy and in need of air con. Service, it took 3 hours for two courses, 30 minutes was waiting for the bill after asking twice. The bill prices were different to that of the menus. Some dishes were forgotten and had to be requested again. Some dishes never arrived while other incorrect ones did. 50/50 on the service with a smile. Overall a 3/5, food was great but the service needs work.

I was lucky enough to eat here with a colleague when we were staying in the area. We were amazed that it was so busy on a Monday night.
However now having eaten there I can see why, great food and really lovely staff. Brilliant onion bhaji starter and huge dips with the poppadoms. The specials on the menu even tempted me away from standard choice. Very pleased I did, I can highly recommend the Mr Naga, paired with the lemon rice for a great meal. I just wished I lived closer as this would my new fave location. 5 star all the way.
