Today was disappointing. Drinks and starters came out rapid as expected, initial service was great, the female waiter who sat me down and the male waiter who took my order were very efficient. My main however was sprinkled with old blackened coriander and other leaves as you will see in the picture. If your stock looks old throw it away, don't try and hide it by mixing it with some fresh stock! Also the lime wedge they gave was definitly not fresh and looked days old as I could see before I even touched it that there was barely any juice left. When I asked for the bill to the female waiter who had short hair and was wearing glasses I had to wait 10-15mins for her to come back to make payment as the other waiters were busy serving other customers. I wanted to get out in a hurry as I was dining on my own due being in town for business and had no reason to stay any longer. At one point I was tempted to walk out as there was no one around to get their attention to pay. If your understaffed or all the waiters are busy hire more staff or atleast be more aware of the diners that are either alone or in a hurry to leave. I will give you one more visit to see if it was just a one off but if it's not I will be raising my concerns to the manager direct. Also if you (the manager) are wondering why I didn't raise this up with you confidentially maybe your chefs shouldn't use old stock and waiters should have a common sense not to serve them to customers. Tonight the quality control...

It's a shame the service was so terrible because the food is actually really nice. Server somehow managed to get our food order wrong even though she wrote the order down on our place mats and read it back to us. Had to wait a long time for one of four drinks. It wasn't until our food started arriving that we realised they had got our order wrong. Tried to flag down several servers to point out the error but no one was paying attention. Once we managed to speak to a member of staff they did not understand what had gone wrong or what we actually wanted even though we explained several times. We ended up giving in and saying just bring us what our bill says we've ordered. Food took a very long time to come. They forgot about certain items and kept telling us ''two minutes' then they never came back. Once the bill came there were extra items that we hadn't ordered or received. Complained about this and asked for the items to be taken off. They disappeared off with the bill and didn't come back for a long time. When everything was sorted and our bill finally paid, we didn't really get an apology at all. Server just said '''at least something has gone right for you this evening". I have been to this particular restaurant three times and it's been the same every time. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I won't be returning. As I said it's a pity because the food is...

I went with a group of friends to eat here and the service was terrible. We spilt drinks accidentally and had to chase the waiter for some tissue to clean it up. When ordering the food, the waiter was kind enough to suggest an alternative meal which was better suited to what my friend wanted. However, only to find when the meals came to us the waiter had put through the first dish she asked for and then also the dish that was suggested so we ended up with a meal we technically didn't order. Instead of realising the mistake, taking the blame and apologising he began to question all of us who didn't yet have a main meal in front of us to what we ordered. Once finding out we all had a meal, began to quiz my friend who was vegetarian suggesting she has ordered a main of chicken and prawn. But it didn't end there, the manager then came out to assess the situation which led to them both arguing in front of us all which made us all feel so uncomfortable. Once we had all our food the waiter had made himself scarce until we had mostly finished and began taking plates away without asking if we were finished.

I can comment that for the most part the chefs had excelled themselves, all my friends agreed the food was delicious. But I'm afraid that we will not be returning for...

I have visited this place more than 5 times already and can firmly say that it is a decent restaurant to go to in order to have some extraordinary food for relatively small, especially if that's your first encounter with eastern cuisine. I appreciate chicken ramen particularly. I loved the fact you can see a big part of the kitchen, however felt a little bit uncomfortable because the dining space was one whole big room with no walls or cozy corners (it might be a good benefit for outgoing visitors though) Some of the food is extremely tasty, although, some dishes would have a huge bunch of rice with very small pieces of meat (so you finish meat quite early ending up eating only rice). Also, once i had a dish that wasn't indicated as spicy on the menu, but in fact it was so spicy for me that i couldn't enjoy its taste without coughing and drinking water after every spoon of the dish. Last bit is that the straws for drinks are really short and you barely can drink with that straw without emerging it fully into the drink. Nothing distinctive about staff. Really liked the way you pay online (on website) which allows you to quickly complete transaction and easily split the bill into different amounts of money.

I have been eating regularly at the Wagamama chain since 1997, that's longer than the average age of the servers. The USP is being diluted by an attempt to appeal to the Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese food markets and the results are disappointing. Do what you do best and don't bother trying to capture the whole market. The Pad Thai I ate tonight, for the last time, bears little relation to Thai flavours and I have made better at home. This recipe is a pastiche of Asian stir fry and needs a serious review, otherwise please don't call it Pad Thai. Too many items were off the menu and the server didn't have enough experience to know how to handle a mild complaint. Wagamama, with results like this, you are headed into the history books.
