Went to Meadowfresh at Dobbies garden centre at Barlborough. Normally I never go to the counter as pork pies are displayed in the large fridges. So I stood at the end of the glass counter where the pork pies are located. The worker was at the other side of the counter area, which he could see me, he then proceeded to go to the back and get a mop, came back and started mopping the floor then proceeded to take the mop back. He came back round and instead of a greeting he said āAre you waiting for a busā which I replied no not today. He then walked to the other end of the counter area and picked up a Perspex hold with a sign saying in the words of āplease ring the bell and an assistant will be with you asapā and slams it down nearer to me. Which I said I didnāt know this as I never come to the counter for service as pork pies are always in the fridge. Then heās mumbling all this waiting for nothing blar blar blar. How ignorant and sarcastic. Fair enough if the sign was more visible and I know there one only one person serving, but he actually saw me waiting! Iām a retail manager and would say Iāll just be a moment or sorry to keep you waiting, you know a good customer service dialog not be sarcastic. Customers keep businesses open? Today Tuesday...

The butcher said no problem and explained he had the perfect piece. On Xmas day I took the piece of sirloin out and noticed this awful smell and it was very obvious the meat was now off and not suitable for Xmas day! This left me with no meat to cook! I wonāt be visiting this place again and wouldnāt recommend it either! I spent Ā£45.00 on this joint which had to go...

Ate it tonight with my wife , daughter and son inlaw and two grandkids....absolutely the best pie we've ever eaten, plenty of Stilton, beautiful meat and fantastic pastry. 1st class doesn't cover it with the glory it deserves. I've seen someone saying £25 is a bit steep, you'd get easily 6 large portions out of the pie, that works out at £4-17 per portion. IMHO it's an absolute bargain, I wish it was a bit nearer to me is my only issue. Move your shop and...
