The coffee was warm, having specifically asked for it to be as hot as possible. By then I'd waited 3 minutes to be acknowledged by either of the two staff who were clearly trying to keep on top of orders for people who were already sitting down. The manageress explained to me when she brought the coffee over (by now I decided to time how long it would take.....9 minutes) that she was working with a trainee. I completely understand that people need to be trained, but why wasn't there at least one extra staff member? At one point 2 people in the queue left having waited about 10 minutes for their order to be taken. The people at the next table were apologised to by the manageress as the order wasn't taken down properly (they told her they were missing a coffee) and would the gentleman get in the queue to reorder it. Weirdly he did as asked. Quite why he didn't say "Well can you bring me one as ordered"? was strange enough, but then he got up and joined the queue of about 6 people. I can only guess that he's probably still there now, in 3rd place. It's by a country mile then worst place I've ever...

Disappointing visit. Avoid.

Ignored by staff behind counter for a good 10 minutes before getting served. No one in front of us. It wasn't busy. When paying,Told they don't take cash. Water glasses look very discoloured and unpleasant. Table and chairs were covered in food as not been wiped down. We Waited a long time for coffee to be brought to the table. Observed 2 other tables nearby also waiting very long time for food and not served together so one was eating, while other person waiting for their food for long time. Apparently the kitchen had ran out of eggs !!! A crisis in the kitchen being observed by a female manager who sat in the restaurant looking at her laptop and talking to other staff on her mobile!!!! Then she went storming to the kitchen to have a go at staff. Did not give a good impression at all. What a way to run a business. Its a shame because the food looked good. I did not feel welcomed in your cafe and would not...

Slow and tastless. Till service was cheerful and without issue. Sadly, that was the end of the good news. We were told out food, a toasted sandwich and a cake slice along with our two hot drinks would be brought over to our table. In a nearly empty resturant of maybe six occupied tables, we waited around 20 minutes only for the manager to come over to say 'oh, you are waiting for drinks?' We said we had received nether food nor drinks. A further few minutes passed, and we received all but the toastie which followed after we had finished our drinks and my wife, her cake. After all the waiting, both the cake and sandwich were pretty tasteless. Sadly, a waste of 40 minutes and £17. We will not be likely to return. I won't blame individuals as I think they all looked to be trying, just seams to be a total lack of system in place. I dread to think what it would be...
