Cafe Andamiro — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Definitely a gem among Japanese and Korean restaurants. The ramen I ordered was excellent. The broth was perfect, and the pork belly was cooked just right. Soft ,tender, and delicious. Usually in Ramen restaurants the noodles aren’t particularly that impressive, but the noodles in this were very very good. I couldn’t help but wonder if they were home made. After an impressive and filling bowl of Ramen, I decided to try the matcha cheese cake with Ginger tea. Which was phenomenal. Normally I’m not a huge fan of matcha, and deserts sometimes don’t get as much attention as the rest of the food. However in this case, the cake was superb. It was soft, moist with just the right amount of cream. Not an abundance of sugar, but instead little pockets of sweetness dancing on my tongue, coupled with slices of strawberry and blue berry. The tea as well, daringly rich and sweet. The ginger lightly spiced the tea, while the brown sugar carefully embraced my taste buds truly an amazing tea. I’m told it’s a house recipe.

I LOVE coming here! This is our favorite Korean restaurant in Edinburgh. Service and food exceptionally. They always make us feel welcome and special by making a special effort with treating our wee one in some way whether it's extra noodles or a free juice! So much appreciated 💖 They also remember our orders, which is nice. Not shown here is my husband's favorite, beef bibimbap. Mine is the osam bulgogi (squid stir fry.. so umami 😋), sharing a kimchi jiggae, and mild glass noodle pork soup for the wee one. There's one person we see almost every time who is especially helpful and knows us by sight, though the rest of the staff are also pleasant. And recently we celebrated my birthday there with a family meal and was touched to receive green tea cheesecake on the house! The food has unbelievably low value for the price. Charge much for small proportions which are incredibly disappointing! Almost no difference between vegetarian food and meat food other than the price!!! Wouldn’t recommend anyone go there :(:( PS: horribly, the staff tried to “swallow” the change without my ‘notice’ dishonest people...

Honestly, if I go for Chinese restaurants, I would definitely deserve much better service and food at the same price I paid for your meal! You are so mean!!! I really feel robbed, seriously! You should be more friendly to students, if you want to make a fortune around this university[Edinburgh] area! This is the common sense of doing business around campus, or no one would always pay for your bloody disgusting food! Cannot believe 3.99 pounds for merely 3...
