Cherry's Cafe — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Visited today for the 1st. I never realised there was a Turkish connection with this cafe. I had the Turk Bagel which is a sesame covered bagel served with scrambled eggs with tomato, cheese and Sucuk (a spicy Turkish sausage somewhat like pepperoni), and a side salad. Let's start with the bagel, which I believe is called a Simit. It was 'to die for'. If you like sesame seeds, you will love this. The bagel had a lovely crumb too. The scrambled eggs was very tasty, flavoured with the sausage. I have had Sucuk before, it's great. Lovely little fresh salad on the side. A nice healthy brunch. I had peppermint tea and a fruit Smoothie also. The Smoothie was really good. My Fiancé had an omelette, which she really liked, a coffee and a Smoothie too. All that food for £25. Great value. There were home made cakes too, they looked great but we had no space left. I'll be keen to come back and have a cooked breakfast. Tasty filling breakfasts, both full Scottish & Turkish, couldn't say which best. Return visits essential. Different Baclava's & Turkish cakes and apple pies, all yum. Seriously excellent coffee tho my fave drink apple tea! Such friendly people, fast pleasant service, impressive value for money. Wonderful gifts, jams, (apricot yum) also got wee tea set for two, decorated tea glasses, matching glass saucers, two tiny decorated teaspoons, and packet of apple tea. So pretty. A lovely wee cafe. We got 4 x breakfasts and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. They do a Turkish breakfast which I'll definitely be trying next time. My cooked breakfast was great though so no regrets. Really friendly staff who serve you, check in to see if you want anything else, but don't pester or rush you which I really appreciate. Will definitely be going back...
