I never leave reviews especially not bad ones but honestly I was so taken aback and upset about my experience here. I was here around 9:45 this morning. It was raining and I was carrying my toddler in a baby carrier. I needed to just pop in somewhere to buy my toddler a snack and I wanted to get a quick coffee. There is a long inside bench I guess for people to wait for take away orders and also basically all the tables but 1-2 were currently free. One of the people who worked there said ‘can I help you?’. I said ‘oh do you mind if I sit down’? He said no I’m afraid we’re completely booked. I indicated the long bench and the empty tables but he proceeded to show me a piece of paper which I assume had lots of booking names on it and didn’t listen when I tried to explained I just needed somewhere to wait for 5 minutes so I could give my toddler a snack somewhere that wasn’t in the street in the rain. He then appeared to decide to just ignore me and continued a conversation he’d been having with someone else. So I ordered a coffee and flapjack off another person behind the counter. When I explained to her that I would be taking my order to sit on a bench outside she said we could sit and have them on the inside bench. I explained that is all I had been asking for all along. However by then I felt so uncomfortable and upset and also worried that my toddler might make a mess and I didn’t know how they’d react so we just did go and sit outside...
Read morebelow was the excellent review I gave before the experience I had today. I took my mum here for brunch and the man was rude beyond belief. He barked at us that you now had to reserve a table and welcomed us to wait 2hours. I'm not sure why but he was extremely aggressive and verging on nasty. it's fair to say we wouldn't want to go back and swiftly went across the road where we brunched and were treated with warmth and respect. Not sure if the "man" in di Giorgio was aware he treated his good customers like dogs but he did. I feel strongly about it hence why I'm updating my review today!

Read moreMet two friends on Mon at 1pm. The place was heaving with folks waiting on a table or ordering take out. We were sat at the very front in amongst all this and people were encroaching right onto our table. We ordered & had our drinks there. We were all surprised but very pleased to be moved into the restaurant area. Stunning brick interior, big windows & spacious. Food delivery was quick & all 3 plates were cleared before I could grab photos!
Not normally a pasta gal, I did really enjoy properly cooked DG Pasta. Ratio of sauce, meat & veg complimented each other but allowed the main ingredient still have the lead role.
Friends had a ciabatta & chips, and another pasta dish. Shared a pistachio cake which left us somewhere between satisfied-very full!
A black coffee, cappuccino & latte were all good but a little on the cold side.
Two female staff were lovely & despite being super busy, still endured us in some banter.
They will even make up traditional popular pasta dishes such as carbonara despite not being part of the menu.
There is a few veggie choices but they are so lovely I think they would omit the meat.
Didn’t use the toilet but the main restaurant has plenty space to remove a chair to accommodate & manoeuvre a manual wheelchair.
Would like to revisit & try more & the big variety of cakes but suggest booking if at a busy time.
3 mains, 4 hot drinks...
