What a gem in the heart of Edinburgh! As Edinburgh's first Vietnamese restaurant, Viet Taste truly lives up to its reputation. We started with fresh summer rolls, which were perfectly light. For the main course, the Pho was incredible – a rich, aromatic broth that was clearly simmered for hours, with tender meat and soft noodles. We also loved the other traditional dishes we tried. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. A genuine taste of Vietnam without leaving Scotland. Five stars...

We had such a wonderful experience here! We ordered two starters – the summer rolls and the mango & lotus salad – plus drinks and two bowls of pho. Everything was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented.

The place itself is really charming and nicely designed, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. We truly enjoyed every bite and had such a fun, relaxed time.

I used to come here a lot with my Grandad back when this place was the Cantonese restaurant “Loon Fung,” so when I saw it had reopened as Viet Taste, I thought it was the perfect excuse to try it out!

I wasn’t disappointed. I’d highly recommend the starter platter for two and the honey chicken thighs. My partner had the pho, but she felt there was a little too much coriander in her soup.
