Dublin Street Social — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Had an absolutely brilliant evening at Dublin Street Social. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were made to feel right at home. The place has a lovely vibe - stylish without being pretentious, and just the right level of buzz.

The food was spot on. Everything we tried was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with proper care and attention. The small plates setup works really well - ideal for sharing and sampling a bit of everything. As a vegetarian, I was especially impressed with the Basil and Goats Cheese Risotto - rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Easily one of the best veggie dishes I’ve had in Edinburgh.

Drinks were equally impressive - a really thoughtful cocktail list with some clever twists, and a great selection of wines too. The staff were fantastic - friendly, switched-on, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do.

All in all, Dublin Street Social is a cracking addition to the Edinburgh food scene. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service. We’ll definitely be back - and...

We had very high expectations of Dublin Street Social. Our expectations were sadly way off the mark. Embarrassing as we had brought overseas visitors. We had a nice welcome but after this the service was inattentive at best. We ordered a wide selection of small plates to share between a group of 5 requesting specifically that they were not all brought out together. All dishes were served simultaneously meaning the majority of our food was cold by the time we got to eat this. Overall the quality and taste of the dishes ranged from average to poor for example the croquettes were largely empty. I could not recommend this venue as a place to come and eat. I had a fantastic experience at this bar and bistro. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect place to have a great meal and wine. The menu offered a great variety of delicious dishes and drinks, all prepared with fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making sure every need was met. Overall, it's a fantastic spot that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to eat, drink and have a good time.
