We came here to feature this truly wonderful restaurant for the TV broadcast Moreish TV and thought you should all know that this awesome Indian restaurant is by far one of the best if not the best we have tasted as the food is lighter and not packed with oil on the plates dishes Poppadoms with the little dip bowls on the dip tray to kick things off and each dip was perfect to accompany the Crispy poppadoms Starters great choices so we tried out Chucjen Pakora under the small dish section, nothing greasy but instead easy to consume filled with delicious melt in your mouth chicken breast with a delicious sauce and salad garnish and next was the Lamb Seekh Kebab on the Durbar special grills section with a delicious sauce to dip or pour over with garnish salad and these kebabs are truly tender and slowly gives a nice n spicy kick soon after the first initial bit absolute wonderful The Mains we tried were the Butter Chicken with Palau Rice and Keema Naan and the dish has tender pieces if delicious tender chicken breast in a wonderful Creamy sauce and it's very lightly spiced giving it the best flavours including cashew that simply dance on the palate, then next we...

Came here with our family of 4 on a Thursday night and probably some of the worst Indian Food we have ever eaten. I am struggling to understand the 5 star reviews.

Service - Service was extremely slow and inefficient. We asked for water only to receive it about an hour later. The food was very slow and several people came in after us, got their meals and paid their bills while we were still waiting for our meal. We eventually got our meal after I complained but with no apology for the delay.

Food- The food lacked flavor and spice. We love Indian food and we were disappointed at how bland the food was. We ordered the Bhel, Chicken Shaslick, Prawn Tandoori and Chole. The only good menu item was the Chole but would not go back to try again based on the other items we ordered. Even the NImbu Pani barely had an lemon juice in it- we would have been better off ordering water with a slice of lemon.

Perhaps their curries are more flavorful but can not say as we did not try them. Overall, would highly recommend trying other places as sure there are much better choices for Indian food...

The reviews and score of this place are extremely misleading, it is mostly referencing a worker named Kush who I’m assuming asks people to leave reviews for some kind of monetary incentive. We waited 20-25 minutes for an entree of tandoor prawns, which was ok, when they only had about 4 tables to wait on in the restaurant. After waiting about another 15-20 minutes the table next to us who arrived 10 minutes later than we did were served their main meals. After nearly 45 of being in the restaurant which was super quiet when we arrived - to now filling up - we received our mains of butter chicken and lamb saag which were both extremely flavourless and underwhelming, lacking any deep flavour or richness that Indian is known for. We left very disappointed and unsatisfied as it was our last curry in Scotland before leaving. We had dinner at Mother India’s Cafe the night before which was a 10/10 meal, I wish we’d just returned there. We ordered essentially the same things at both restaurants and Mother India’s was about...

Durbar was a fantastic spot to get delicious Indian food! Things we loved: - Chicken Shashlish - we ordered it as an appetizer - Butter Chicken - always delicious; enough for each of us to have 2 servings - Punjabi Nalli Gohst - we LOVE lamb and this was the star of the show for us; bone-in lamb shank that we shredded into the delicious curry sauce - Service was great - at times a bit slow but definitely faster than is typical at similar restaurants back in California - Clean, vibrant and nicely decorated dining atmosphere Things we would change (if we could): - wine by the glass offerings: there was just 1-2 of each varietal that you could order by the glass. - bathrooms were a bit lackluster and didn’t quite reflect the same level of attention given to the dining area. - we seemed to have a variety of servers which could be confusing when you’re trying to order more naan or rice.

The ambience is very eye catching and the decor on table is literally classy. I personally loved their service and food was delicious. Take it or not Mango lassi was my favourite there, we ordered saag paneer and naan was so homely vibe for me. I didn't fancy daal tarka way much but it was also tasty, overall experience was good and it's little pricey but it's worth the place. And the guy Mukesh who worked for us was really a dedicated man. Revisited the venue and again I fell more deeply in love with the food, I did takeaway this time and their packaging is so good . Best place to have an Indian food cravings

We are staying at the Caledonian hotel nearby and wanted some good Indian food. Durbar did not disappoint! We ordered a potato pakota dish and chicken tikka for starters. Both were great. The pakota was a little spicy for me and the spices built through the third and fourth and 5th bites I took. For mains we did lentils, butter chicken and mushroom rice and delicious garlic naan. They have much more adventurous food than what we selected but were new to Indian cuisine and didn't want to catch our mouths on fire. Reasonably priced great service super close to the hotel.
