Read moreCame here with our family of 4 on a Thursday night and probably some of the worst Indian Food we have ever eaten. I am struggling to understand the 5 star reviews.
Service - Service was extremely slow and inefficient. We asked for water only to receive it about an hour later. The food was very slow and several people came in after us, got their meals and paid their bills while we were still waiting for our meal. We eventually got our meal after I complained but with no apology for the delay.
Food- The food lacked flavor and spice. We love Indian food and we were disappointed at how bland the food was. We ordered the Bhel, Chicken Shaslick, Prawn Tandoori and Chole. The only good menu item was the Chole but would not go back to try again based on the other items we ordered. Even the NImbu Pani barely had an lemon juice in it- we would have been better off ordering water with a slice of lemon.
Perhaps their curries are more flavorful but can not say as we did not try them. Overall, would highly recommend trying other places as sure there are much better choices for Indian food...
Read moreThe reviews and score of this place are extremely misleading, it is mostly referencing a worker named Kush who I’m assuming asks people to leave reviews for some kind of monetary incentive. We waited 20-25 minutes for an entree of tandoor prawns, which was ok, when they only had about 4 tables to wait on in the restaurant. After waiting about another 15-20 minutes the table next to us who arrived 10 minutes later than we did were served their main meals. After nearly 45 of being in the restaurant which was super quiet when we arrived - to now filling up - we received our mains of butter chicken and lamb saag which were both extremely flavourless and underwhelming, lacking any deep flavour or richness that Indian is known for. We left very disappointed and unsatisfied as it was our last curry in Scotland before leaving. We had dinner at Mother India’s Cafe the night before which was a 10/10 meal, I wish we’d just returned there. We ordered essentially the same things at both restaurants and Mother India’s was about...
