Having previously enjoyed an outstanding service many times at the Kebabish in Glasgow (which unfortunately has closed) we decided to book for a party of 12 at the Kebabish in Edinburgh to celebrate a special occasion. My family and I were left extremely disappointed with the standard of service. It was very clear there was no organisational or communication skills and at times almost comical. - We had a 30 minute wait before someone comes to take our order for starters, to our surprise the menus were swiped away without taking our mains order. - I asked for a jug of water for the table and was about to follow it up with the actual drinks order when the waiter runs off to attend some peep at the door and he doesn’t come back - - After 15 mins he comes back with 12 glasses filled with water, we try to explain we want to place an actual drinks order, tells us he will be back and he runs off. - - We grab another waiter for the drinks order, there is no Coke Zero or lime cordial apparently they have ran out (at the start of service, really?). After another long wait the drinks arrive with no sign of my little boys orange juice. Query this and off the waiter goes another 10 mins pass and I ask for the juice again to be told they had ran out and were looking upstairs for it. Now why could he have not come back and told us this. - - Midway through starters the waiter appears looking sheepish and asks to take our mains order, which he had to clarify 3 times, oh look more peep waiting to be seated and he runs off mid order! - - After the food, which was ok, nothing spectacular (the boys enjoyed their mirchi steaks). I asked for the table to be cleared so we can bring the cake out to be told yes of course. I take my baby for a nappy change only to come back and find table was still not cleared. May I add the toilet was stinking of sewage. - Manage to get the cake brought out but the cake knife was dirty, ask for another knife for cake and a butter knife gets brought, plates get brought but no spoons. Is this some comedy sketch??? - At times I didn’t know whether to laugh or actually blow but I held it together given the occasion Best part of the evening was leaving, knowing we will never be back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kabish Restaurant in Edinburgh, and I have to say, it was an absolute delight. As someone who appreciates authentic Pakistani and desi cuisine, this place exceeded all my expectations. From the moment you step inside, the a mbience is warm, welcoming, and has a genuine feel to it. It's clear that this isn't just another generic Indian restaurant; it's a place that takes pride in its heritage and its food. Now, on to the food—this is where Kabish truly shines. The menu is packed with traditional Pakistani dishes, many of which you won't find at a typical curry house. We ordered a selection of their kebabs and grilled meats, and each dish was a masterpiece. The Lamb Seekh Kebabs were juicy, perfectly spiced, and had that authentic charcoal-grilled flavor. The Chicken Tikka was tender and succulent, marinated in a way that made every bite a burst of flavor. It's clear that the chefs here use high-quality, fresh ingredients and a deep understanding of traditional recipes. What really impressed me was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. If you're looking for an authentic, flavorful, and memorable dining experience in Edinburgh, you must visit Kabish. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable, and the ambience is just perfect. I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone who loves genuine desi Pakistani cuisine. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Kebabish is a south Asian fine dining restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and greeted by the upgraded decor, which creates an impressive ambiance. The menu boasts a wide variety of dishes, including dedicated grilled starters, Asian delights, and succulent steaks. We opted for the grilled starters, which were a hit. The reshmi kebab and lamb chops were bursting with flavour, cooked to perfection and tender. The sauces were fresh and flavourful, adding a delightful touch to each bite. For our main courses, we indulged in the butter chicken with chilli and coriander naan and plain naan. The butter chicken was slightly spicy, which I personally prefer, as it originally comes with a sweet flavour. The naan was fresh and delicious. We also savoured the rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce and chips. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, resulting in a tender, juicy, and flavourful centre. The peppercorn sauce was the icing on the cake, elevating the dish to new heights. Overall, the service and food at Kebabish were exceptional. The staff are welcoming and always make sure you have everything you need. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Parking is available at the rear of the restaurant, with a complimentary four-hour parking slot using the validation system at the entrance.

Very very very poor service. They even don't know the "ABC" of customer service. Drove from Blackburn to Edinburgh for my little son's birthday. Me and wifey chose Kebabish as usual just because of their excellent food & service @ Blackburn. We walked down about 40 minutes to Kebabish @ Edinburgh from our hotel. Here starts the terrible experience. Entered restaurant, stood 10 minutes and no staff member showed up to guide us to chairs. My little birthday boy was constantly saying" i am hungry" .He didn't eat anything all day. After 20 minutes ,a gloomy face and fed up waiter came. We placed our order and clearly mentioned to serve the drinks and papadum right now pllllleaaasssee. The waiter disappeared and we were left helpless. I just lost my nerves after 30 minutes wait as my 4 year old son started crying with hunger. I couldn't find the waiter around in restaurant even tried to GOOGLE him. Went to reception and lady apologised but kept on standing like statue. Anyways We got our papadum and drinks after 35 minutes of waiting. I told waiter to bring starters before main course. We had to wait another 1 hour for our food and guess what he brought main course 1st and didn't serve startets at all. He realised after my wife pointed out and then he rushed to kitchen. Well it didn't end here, he brought WRONG starters and argued that we ordered these. This was insane. My son refused to eat as he was falling asleep after long wait. We forced ourselves to eat cold food as main course was on table waiting for us to finish starters. The food was awful and undercooked.None of staff seemed bothered. When I went to counter to pay the bill, I noticed that It was not only me the lucky person who was treated so " nicely", there were 3 other customers complaining about the worst service. I must say I felt really annoyed. This is the worst ever night meal/ experience your litlle one could ever have on his birthday. I must say to the management of Kebabish Edinburgh to visit Kebabish Blackburn, at least they can teach you Good...

The worst experience I've ever had with a home delivery. I'm trying to support the local businesses that are open during this difficult time but I wished I hadn't ordered from here.

I ordered my food and it still hadn't arrived after two hours. I tried to phone the restaurant and there was no answer, the phone just rang out. I then checked on their website and a message said that the restaurant was now currently closed and that it wouldn't open again until 3pm the next day.

I was by this point really hungry, so I ordered a delivery from another restaurant. When the order arrived an hour later, the driver didn't adhere to social distancing and, although I'd asked for it to be left at the door, the driver tried to hand me the food.

When I got to the kitchen and opened the food, expecting it to be the second food order, I discovered that it was my original KO order which was delivered THREE hours after I'd made it. This was on a late Thursday evening, so it shouldn't have taken anywhere near this time. The driver didn't say anything about the wait I'd had, never mind apologising for it, and some items were also missing.

The food then went in the bin because my second delivery arrived five minutes after the first, and the food with this order was fresher and hotter. There's no way that I could have eaten all the food from two deliveries, so it was wasted. I'm really not happy about having to chuck food away.

I'm now out of pocket, as I paid for two deliveries. What's even more disappointing is that I emailed KO more than once to let them know about these issues and I've had no reply. Not great customer service, especially for someone who's...
