Best halal burger in Edinburgh but measly portions and not a good milkshake at all. Very slippery floor makes you want to navigate the place as little as possible. When the guy behind the counter asks you to take a seat if you are dining in, then presumably they bring the food to you. Not in my case though, I was made to pick the food up from the counter whilst fellow diners has their food bought to them just after me, obviously a very rude thing to do.
Burger was great but utterly tiny, the thickness of the meat could have been a slice of doner meat. Did taste excellent though. Chips were good if not exceptional. Poor portion considering it was £11-odd.
The menu should tell you what the milkshakes have in them, they didn't in the printed menu I was shown. The shake was pretty disappointing, made me feel quite sick towards the end but it was big too. The worst item of the lot was the biggest.
Overall, best halal burger in Edinburgh but that's not really that much of an achievement considering the dire options here. Can't see myself returning soon unless I try something else but I'd much rather try a different eatery altogether.
Edit:
Second visit today was great, I had a triple burger with curly fries and a can of seven up. The food came to a tenner which was worth the price. I have added a star as I was beyond satisfied...
Read moreDon’t get me wrong. The food was delicious. My problem is not actually with the food, but rather with the way this business seems to run I had just put an order through Just Eat for 2 burgers, one that wasn’t marked with cheese as my girlfriend is allergic. Cut to her burger arriving, with cheese on it. After calling up the restaurant, I was told that every burger had cheese on it in some way shape or form. Not a problem, it’s understandable, I asked them if they could get Just Eat to update their menu to acknowledge this fact. I was then passed over to who I assume was a manager explaining how they send their menu to Just Eat and was making it out that it was our fault that the burger had cheese on it as we hadn’t left a comment to ask for no cheese (which we didn’t realise we had to do given that there was no listing for cheese). Sufficed to say, with no help from the restaurant, we have refunded that burger through Just Eat as it wasn’t as listed. Not impressed by the service I received from this manager, however the initial person seemed...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing burgers, fries and milkshakes! All freshly made. I had a milkshake of theirs not on Saturday there, a wee while ago and it was top tier! At the weekends Friday/Saturday, it's especially busy to sit in and perhaps for food delivery but it's worth it and they're very accommodating if you want to tweak your burgers toppings. We waited half an hour sitting in on Saturday there but it was really worth it. Five Guys is almost as good as this place but not quite lol 😆 coming here supports independent businesses, not the big conglomerate businesses. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a good burger meal and milkshakes. I don't have a photo of milkshakes yet but I'll order one soon to post a photo. Take my word for it, try it, you'll love it if you love burgers and everything that goes with it. The staff are friendly and accommodating as I've said. My partner and I loved it and will be coming back! Keep up the amazing work...
