I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic Thai restaurant, and I can't wait to share my experience with you. From start to finish, it was a delightful culinary journey.

Firstly, the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The interior was tastefully decorated with Thai-inspired elements, immersing me in the culture and enhancing the overall dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. The sizzling beef I ordered was absolutely excellent. It was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The sizzling sound and aroma that filled the air only added to the anticipation and enjoyment of the dish. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness, leaving me wanting more.

To complement my meal, I opted for a glass of Riesling wine. It was a perfect choice. The wine was crisp, refreshing, and paired beautifully with the flavors of the Thai cuisine. It elevated the entire dining experience and added a touch of sophistication to my meal.

One aspect that stood out was the friendly and attentive staff. They were welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door and provided exceptional service throughout my visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offered recommendations, and ensured that all my needs were met. Their genuine hospitality truly enhanced my dining experience.

In summary, this Thai restaurant surpassed my expectations in every aspect. The great atmosphere, excellent sizzling beef, and the pairing of a delightful Riesling wine made for a memorable meal. The friendly and attentive staff added the final touch, making me feel valued as a customer. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a fantastic Thai...

Unfortunately, I had a very unfortunate customer experience at this restaurant. I NEVER write reviews about restaurants, but am compelled as it was so bad. I'm traveling solo on a multi city U.K. holiday from the states. I had heard good things about this restaurant, and was eager that I got a reservation the day of (it was a Saturday). Long story short, I was dining alone, and literally mid meal was told I had to move tables because the "reservation for that table" had now arrived (late by the way). And it wasn't a matter of number of seats at the table. I was sitting at a table for 2, I was asked to move for 2 people, and they moved me to a four top table right by the bar, cash register/service area. It was not only embarrassing & humiliating as they gave me about 10 seconds to grab my coat, belongings, etc, everyone in the very small restaurant stopped talking at just stared. Even after I politely said "this is very embarrassing, and frankly very rude as I am mid meal, you have shoved me in the corner by the cash register and bar," they didn't care! They just kept saying "sorry", and my experience there was ruined at that point. They offered no other "next best solution" which would normally be a backup for an uncomfortable customer experience. I left, (food and all). I have worked in the service industry and every person/restaurant can have an "off night", however, this was just down right rude. They were not sorry, and left very disappointed. Go somewhere else - dining in Edinburgh in general is such a welcoming/kind town. This is truly a one off...

Nok's Kitchen is some if the best Thai food I have had anywhere. It is a cozy place off the beaten path, with a welcoming interior. It is not a typical [cheesy] Asian restaurant as it is well decorated, white tablecloths and not that large, which was s nice if you want to have a conversation with your table mates. It is a bit pricey, but the food makes up for it.

The food is fabulous, all being homemade on location. It is artistically plated and bursting with flavor. I started with the Nok Chom Suam ( bird in the garden, which are 3 filled, steamed dumplings shapes as a basket and a bird. The waiter was upfront and warned me they were out of the "bird" dumplings but would sub it for another basket; same ingredients, different shape. I ordered anyway and was happy I did... It was delicious. My wife had the Yum Ped (Duck Salad) which was mostly duck. Reminded me of crispy fried fried duck, without the pkum sauce... I love duck and snuck a piece off her plate and it was excellent as well

For the main course, I had the Ped Ha Sean (stir fried roasted duck) and it had a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The plating was amazing as well. We finished it off with a friend banana with ice cream. Once again, delicious, although it put me over the top and left feeling stuffed. Portions were not that big, but we're very filling.

I would highly recommend the dishes we had, but don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. I will make it a point to return to Nok's my next trip...

If you are looking for Thai food in Edinburgh, look no further than Nok’s Kitchen in Stockbridge (they also have another location near the castle and on Morrison Street) The food came out fresh and steaming, and we had only taken our first bites by the time we said we will be back! They were super accommodating to me as a vegan and took the time to go through the menu, all allergens were clearly labelled. I will be back to try their pad Thai! 😋🧡 #fyp #thai #edinburgh #edinburghfoodie #vegan #edinburghvegan #thaifood #nokskitchen #edinburghrestaurants

I have mixed feelings. We arrived and said hello. The waitresses didn't tell us much, so my boyfriend went to look around if there is some nice table for two. In our country (we are tourists) we are automatically seated, but in some restaurants you just go and sit wherever you want. The waitresses looked confused, so i asked if we need a reservation and instead of an answer, one of the waitresses told us in pretty bossy way, that we need to wait to be seated. Ok, i asked if they have a table for two, which they obviously had, the restaurant was almost empty, but i waited if the tone will change, because one more sentence in that bossy tone and im out of here. I don't need this attitude. Service was quite good, they fill your water without you asking for it, but it made me a little bit uncomfortable that our waitress kept walking around and looked at our table the whole time while we ate. Maybe its just me, i didn't appreciate it. On the other hand this place has the interior that is giving really nice vibes and it needs to be said, that the food was delicious, maybe thats why its high-priced. However I ordered a meal that was marked in the menu as NOT spicy and it was definitely spicy. I don't mind spicy food, but if someone hates it, it could be a problem. My boyfriend had the chicken pad thai and said it was really good, maybe too sweet for him.

The rating gave to this restaurant is 4.5 and the 0.5 missing is due to some small details from someone picky like me (so obviously you can go there closed eyes it's delicious). The room is small and that's a great thing. Lightning is also soft, this all together giving you a feel of intimacy. All the staff is very nice and taking a good care of you, filling your glass of water when needed without you had to ask. During the order, they also made sure to ask if any allergy issue which is rarely done in any restaurant nowadays (nice touch). We ordered a couple of starters (which were great) and 2 differents curry. Despite asking us how we wanted the level of spiciness (British or Thai way), we though it could have been a bit more spicy in our liking. Also sticky rice was slightly soggy. Like I said, very small details that any lamda customer will not even notice. Highly recommended. Great experience for your buds!
