When walking into the restaurant it offers a nicely lit, modern scene. Beautiful warm lights poke through tasteful chandeliers from the ceiling and combine seamlessly with natural light creeping down from the ground floor above with cascading strays bouncing off the greenery of the garden outside.
The food here was really special. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to for a while, offering a wide range of culinary options; seafood, meat and vegetarian all are all adequately touched on throughout the menu.
I had the privilege of taking the wrapped veil first, which was a decedent start to a decedent meal. With rich cheese rolled inside the meat, and breadcrumbs and pistachio crumbled over the top, this was a textural masterpiece with accompanying flavours that are just as bold. The only thing to pick up on was the veil wasn’t quite as tender as I would have liked.
My main of choice was the lobster pasta. This was a meal to remember. The plating had been of upmost importance to the chef and that was clear. Large tender lobster chunks were carefully placed on top and throughout the dish comprised of well spun ladles of linguini. The plate carried a dominant seafood note coming from the lobster bisque that had a small funky kick at the end of the palette from the pine nuts that kept me coming back for more. The dish was somewhat dry which worked well for me as it was clearly putting the lobster and pasta first. The pasta was past al dente which again complimented the dish well, a tougher texture might’ve taken away from the pine nuts. A fantastic plate of food here.
The service was also fantastic as we were a big, difficult, table and the staff were completely accommodating. They brought out a cake for my auntie whose birthday it was and allowed us to derail the vibe of the...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into the restaurant, it was clear we were in for something special. The ambiance was elegant yet welcoming, setting the perfect tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal.
Chef Mara’s culinary expertise shines in every dish. The handmade pasta was a work of art, and you could taste the love and care put into every bite. I had the duck egg and then the cod fish, and it was a delightful blend of flavors. The delicate cod paired beautifully with the richness of the cavolo nero, creating a harmony of textures and tastes. My husband enjoyed the cacio e pepe, which was the perfect balance of creamy and peppery, showcasing Mara’s incredible skill with pasta. He said it was better than the pasta cacio pepe he's had in Rome
Another highlight was the wine pairings by the Sommelier. He took the time to understand our preferences and selected wines that elevated each course. We have very different tastes and giovani managed to match each and the pairings enhanced the flavors of the food perfectly.
Every detail, from the handmade pasta to the expertly curated wine list, made this a truly exceptional dining experience. Chef Mara and Sommelier Giovani are masters of their craft, and we cannot wait to return....
Read moreFantastic food. This is really a place of love and passion and you can feel it throguh what is then delivered. Giovanni and Mara are a fantastic synergy of welcoming vibes with courageous twists and turns on both food and wine which will be a ln exciting rollercoaster of taste if you give Radicibus the chance it deserves. There is so much care on your plate that it feels like nothing else you had but yet familiar. You know what that taste is but you never experienced in that depth or combined with whatever else is on your plate or in your glass. They took traditional dishes and broke them down to what they actually feel and mean for them and what you taste is a thoughtful blend of modern takes of comfort food. If I could give it 6 stars I would but I cannot, I can however keep going there and keep being glad I did it! Thanks Mara and Giovanni, this should be in the vocabulary under...
