A first time visit for me a few weeks back. We'd arrived at the EICC for my husband to have his second vaccine. He was sure his appointment was for 1:30pm and we were early. I double checked his appointment letter and he was actually booked in for 1:45pm so we had around a half hour wait.
We spotted Scooby's and I decided to go in and grab a coffee. My husband was hungry so asked me to grab 'some kind of toastie; ham and cheese will be fine,' because we didn't know if it was quite a basic cafe or not.
It's not! I ordered my coffee then asked for the toastie, and was offered a selection of beautiful cheeses! 🧀 I went with Jarlsberg and a smoked cheese with the ham. 😋
The gentleman serving was lovely and chatted away while I waited on the toastie. I thought business would've boomed for him being straight across from the centre but he explained that it hadn't made any difference. Most people just arrive and head off immediately afterwards, which is a shame.
However, my second appointment will be due in a couple of weeks and I'll certainly make a return visit to Scooby's...

The prices are super cheap and there is plenty of ingredients choices for sandwiches, paninis, etc. I loved the lentil and bacon soup and they also have a couple more choices (like the mushroom soup), which it’s just what you need on these winter days.
