The Alchemist: Where Magic Happens

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Alchemist, and I must say it was an experience like no other. From the moment my wife and I stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the incredible wait staff. Their friendly demeanor and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.

However, the true enchantment of The Alchemist lies in its mixologist, who is an absolute wizard when it comes to crafting cocktails. With every drink she concocted, she demonstrated her remarkable skill and passion for the art of mixology. What set her apart, though, was her infectious charisma and delightful banter. Her lively personality created an atmosphere that was both lively and intimate, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening.

Speaking of unforgettable, The Alchemist made my wife's birthday truly special. The attention to detail and personalized touches they added to the celebration were beyond compare. From the beautifully decorated table to the exquisite birthday cocktail created just for her, every aspect of the experience was thoughtful and heartfelt.

Needless to say, my wife and I are already planning our return to The Alchemist. We are eager to bring more friends along so they too can bask in the magic this place exudes. Whether you're looking for a casual night out or a memorable celebration, The Alchemist is the perfect destination. Prepare to be dazzled by the extraordinary mixologist, indulge in expertly crafted cocktails, and create cherished memories that will...

Visited the alchemist on Saturday night. Arrived 5 mins before our booking time and were seated. Service was very slow to take our order, and food took a long time to come out. By the time we recieved our meals we had been seated for 45 mins. 5 minutes after receiving our food our server came to the table to inform us that we had to hurry up as the table was booked again at 7pm (this was at 1835). This completely spoiled our meal as not only did we feel under pressure and rushed but we were unable to order the deserts and cocktails we had planned on after our food. We asked the server for the bill which took a further 10 minutes and another request to a different server before it arrived, I noticed afterwards that there had also been a service charge added to the bill which was entirely undeserved. If you are going to stipulate table times, the service has to be far faster. We would have spent significantly more money and enjoyed our experience much better had it not been for the slow service and putting us under pressure to leave. Disappointing.

EDIT: As directed by the comment below from management, I sent an email to discuss this further with them, however this was now 2 weeks ago and I have never recieved a response. Way to...

The Alchemist in Edinburgh offers an extraordinary dining and cocktail experience With two prime locations—one in the vibrant St James Quarter which is the one we had the pleasure of eating in and another on the historic George Street—this establishment has become a must-visit destination for both locals and visitors. The cocktail menu is a testament to the art of molecular mixology. Each drink is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in concoctions that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. The bartenders’ expertise ensures that every sip is an adventure, with unexpected flavors and presentations that delight the senses.

The food menu complements the drink selection perfectly, Whether you’re in the mood for a light lunch or an indulgent dinner, the menu caters to all tastes, including options for vegans and vegetarians. For those seeking a late-night experience, The Alchemist doesn’t disappoint. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the venue stays open until 1 AM, featuring resident DJs who provide a dynamic soundtrack that enhances the overall atmosphere. The combination of expertly crafted drinks, delectable food, and energetic music creates an...

We’ve been very disappointed by this place. Nothing to do with the staff, they were actually pretty great : presents when needed and very nice ! However we thought this place was going to be a nice, comfy and classy cocktail bar. Nothing of the sort ! The place is loud because of the music (you can barely hear the person siting in front of you) the atmosphere is not intimate at all as you are next to other square table like in any restaurant (with a very big table in the middle of the place). The food is blend and wayyyy to expensive, it seems nothing is homemade (don’t order the bao bun, the ones from Edinburgh StreeT Food are nothing alike). The “show” part is really nice, and really, is about it as the four cocktails we’ve ordered were way to sugary ( candy taste). Maybe the mistake was on us to assume things before visiting (comfy, quiet and an intimiste setting) but I just wanted to give a feedback so that some might not be disappointed like we were
