5 star Coffee Shop... only thing that let's it down on Atmosphere;
The occasional entitled passive aggressive customer!
Namely Tyler Simmons who left the only 1 star review out of a few hundred 5 stars!
Unfortunately, I had to have a terrible experience with a customer that came into the shop, they were politely greeted and asked immediately what they would like to order... Tyler was unsure of his order, as he must have been in recently and tried a delicious matcha syrup, myself of which had made and created a recipe for the shop.
Sadly its been a few weeks since we have made and served it and he was informed nicely and with sincerity that we didn't have any Matcha. Tyler made it obvious that he was not happy about the situation but also did not believe me, as if I was hiding it just from him!
He turned to the owner of the business for reassurance that this notion could not be true... surely not?! To his prevail the prophecy was true and there was no Matcha!
Tyler proceeded on his journey to find Matcha but not without one last hurrah... as he stormed out of the shop, muttering profanities under his breath but just loud enough to make one final statement about his outrage of the diabolical situation he had been left in with no matcha.
Hold on a moment, I, the man who served him had heard the profanity and questioned him on his behaviour... sadly Tyler scurried on his way to find his beloved Matcha.
I truly wish him the best and hope he succeeded on his journey for the magic...
Read moreWe were very disappointed with the experience after having high hopes with the positive reviews.
The coffee was absolutely delicious but the staff were complacent, unaware and distracted.
I don’t like leaving bad reviews and I do understand the stress on baristas and cafe staff but I do want to shine light on a few things.
We asked for dine in coffees because we are very passionate about sustainability, so we don’t like single use plastic/paper cups. We sat down at the front table and when the coffees arrived they were in single use coffee cups. The excuse being ‘we forgot’. If the place was super busy I would understand but we were the only people that had ordered at that time. The two women behind the coffee machine were too captivated talking to their friend that had come to visit then being aware. They were publicly and loudly speaking about how hung over they were and how they didn’t want to be there.
As a customer it doesn’t make you feel great to have to wait for a barista to finish their own casual conversations to be able to order and then them get it wrong.
Baristas are some of the most amazing people and have the power to shape someone’s day by the approach they have to their work. I hope the woman who was working that day realises...

A laid back, dog friendly little neighbourhood joint whose vibe is basically "what if a pub run by your friends served strong coffee instead of pints?", their specialty are drinks that get you wired and ready for anything the day will throw at you.
The 100% Robusta Indian Cherry Tree tastes like a full bloom orchard that will fight you for dominance and will phaseshift you into another universe. Their houseblend (50/50 Robusta & Arabica) offers a slightly more mellow buzz (and only phaseshift you into next week). The Ethiopian blend (100% Arabica) is your gateway drug, btw. Their brownies offer a nice counterbalance, as they're dense and just the right amount of sweetness.
Special shout out goes to baristas Dale and Maggie, who made our frequent visits all the more enjoyable.
10/10, would shoot my heartrate through...
