This buisness is morally disgusting and the manager is very rude and I mean another word for rude he does not deserve your buisness at all for what he stands for based on my experience and how he came across to me this place used to have two gambling terminals now it has 3 I'm taking about the modern 100jp machines you might wanna take the 3rd one out because you've lost me as a customer forever rightly so, I was in here on satarday and lost £300 in the terminal it'd have been more than great for the manager if it was 3000 I got MULTIPLE 50p stake bonuses two eye of horus and one fishing frenzy and one fishing frenzy the big catch after a LOT of spins the only one to pay near 25 was eye of horus megaways the other eye of horus and BOTH fishing frenzy games had paid out less than £10 my biggest "win" was £36 that was on my SECOND hundred and after playing £75 in thia lady without getting a bonus and the third bonus symbol repeatedly going either one below or one above the reel this happened on ALL other games too multiple times and I got some spins on power spins leprachaun or something two sets of spins took a fortune to get and paid out rediculous you cannot go through £100 on one slot without getting a bonus not on 50p that is defently not natrual and rigged so on my last £100 genie jackpots have to trigger a £5 win to get a pick 100 spins £1 stake no pick.... what a utter joke if I had the money I would sue the slot maker and the pub as I'd love to do the same to them what they just did to me, I complained to the guy who told me he was the manager and he was actually the co manager or something like that and told him what happened then he didn't understand at ALL so told me to come back on Monday today which I did I came in and spoke to the manager he said it was the other guy and he is on break (the one who spoke with me) and that he is the manager I told him what happened and tried to get some reasoning across to the guy about morals and respecting the customer and how I was not happy how rigged they have there machines and said I was here to get my money back as that was the understanding I got on satarday he said something along the lines of you can't expect to get a bag just because you lost in on the machine, no no I did not I got scammed out of 300 that's the way I remember it and find it more than fair and worth refunding me so that others can know this is a moral business in a cost of living crysis as they would happily claim cost of living crysis to keep prices high and I told him that was my DISSABILITY money for the rest of the month as I really struggle and that I had a gambling problem that I am having a hard time dealing with because of places like this he said basically that's not his problem
If he could bankrupt every single customer that walked in on those machines I'd believe he would be a very happy person... We came from a funeral to there as was convenient for everyone in our party (ages 40 to 70) even though most people said they don't like it and unfortunately they were proved right.
The girls who started on the evening shift were clearly new and actually lovely but Helen the woman who appeared to be in charge of the bar was less than friendly when I asked for a drink to be changed because it was wrong.
We spilled a red wine at our table by accident and the glass was smashed in the process. I cleaned, sweeped and mopped that myself. The young boy who gave me the cleaning equipment was also lovely but I'm not really sure what the manager was there for as he was nowhere to be seen.
I know this is a pointless complaint as nothing will be done but I just hope no one else is treated this badly regardless of where they came from.
The manager Cooper, couldn't have cared less when I complained. He didn't even apologise for the terrible service. And by service I mean me goin to the bar and carrying the drinks up and down while him and Helen stared at me from the doorway at the upper bar because I had told they young boy that I wanted to see the manager.
They should be embarrassed by their behaviour but suspect this will just carry on.
Also why is the next question how much did we spend?! This is a disgrace. Do you only provide good service when a certain amount is spent? That just shows you as a company are judgemental and prejudice.

Read moreWait staff was overwhelmingly slow. We waited over an hour from order to the time we got dessert. There was an elderly gentleman who told us he didn’t work there who was picking up glasses and dishes from tables. The same time he was doing so, 3 staff members were standing behind the bar with no customers doing absolutely nothing. The man came to our table to pick up our dishes (thinking he worked there we told him we hadn’t gotten our dessert) he told staff we were waiting for food and still took 30+ minutes. Fish and chips was overcooked. The nachos were soggy and cold. Staff never returned to our table to check in either. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Edit: While I’m unable to add another comment we visited on Monday December 2nd. For a time frame around 1640 to 1820 we were there. We sat at table 37. When we first arrived there were maybe 3 tables of guests, while more did come in during our visit there was plenty of staffing for the amount. Only one (male) server was going to tables to deliver silverware/food. The other three were indeed at the bar with no customers majority of the time. I do understand being extremely busy in a work place and having patience, but unfortunately this was not what was happening during our visit. I hope that helps you answer any...
