This is the closest coffee shop to where we live. But we now avoid getting a coffee from there because of their attitude to service.
My three most recent visits. The first I went in for some bread as their bread is good. I asked for some help and was met with unfriendly attitude by the sole girl behind the counter that day. Made me feel stupid, unwelcome and uncomfortable. Still bought the bread as I was embarrassed.
Next time was we needed to get a quick coffee and went in there 15 minutes before their advertised closing time. The counter was clear which was fair. But I asked her if she could make two coffees for us (all of their coffees are to go as they donât have sit in). She told us that sheâs just finished cleaning the coffee machine so she canât. Too bad for us.
The third time is I went down for some bread for lunch. Myself and another customer in front was met with a sign âoff for lunch be back in 30 minutesâ. This was 12:00-12:30. I understand that the servers need lunch. But does the owner of this shop not recommend that they take a lunch either before 12 or after 2pm so that they can capture lunchtime trade??
Overall, poor service. I would hope the owner sees this review and can speak to the people in the shop about these few things as I would love to go back but I just canât after those experiences. Itâs just the âI donât careâ attitude that you get from the place.
Save yourself the trouble and go to Soderberg up the road which does amazing coffee and buns and the man that owns and runs it is extremely helpful and...
Read moreI love this place. I made it a routine to stop by the Twelve Triangles every Thursday on my commute and it was one of my favourite things about living in Edinburgh this year. The staff are absolutely lovely and were welcoming since day one. The coffee is excellent, the pastries and the sandwiches are both delicious and unique, I had to try a different one each time and I was never disappointed! I wanted to support the store as much as I could so I purchased one of their many adorable tote bags (the illustrations feel like a nostalgic story book). All-in-all, a lovely place with great customer service and I canât...
Read moreI wish I could give more than 5 stars to Twelve Triangles in Morningside. This bakery is amazing! The rhubarb cruffin was perfect, the right amount of flaky pastry with a creamy, sweet but slightly tangy rhubarb filling. See video and dream about it! I was resistant to try the classical almond croissant, but these croissants have really reached perfection. Coffee was also amazing, without barista foamy art, but a perfect blend of flavours. Very friendly and helpful staff. Review of charcoal bread, excellent texture soft and bubbly, very appealing colour, see...
