Used to come there frequently under the previous management (back when it was The Rocket Cafe) and unfortunately, I have to say it really went downhill having visited for the first time since the change of name & ownership.
I was really surprised how quiet it was at lunchtime on Sunday as more than half of the tables were empty whereas before you'd have to wait for one. There's definitely a lot less options on the menu, it said to look for soup of the day on the board but it wasn't there.
I ordered a soup with bread and then a panini which I also asked to get a soup with. We then got just one soup with bread and panini without a soup. When I mentioned that I also ordered a soup with the panini, the lady who served us looked confused and said that the panini comes like this and eventually brought as another soup but on a separate plate, with bread. We were then charged separately for the panini and then two soups with bread. I'd think that soup & panini would be a pretty standard thing to order and that it would be served together and that I'd pay a bit less (without the extra bread). The soup wasn't that good anyway and tasted like there was no stock in it, mostly water.
I'm afraid I won't be back as the place has definitely lost its soul that the previous owner has worked hard for...

We went to this place because we could not find a table in our first option… and how lucky we were! It’s a small, cozy cafe with a simple but effective menu, and an amazing quality-price relationship.
Food is simple, in the best of possible ways, but super tasty. Toasts, English breakfast, croissants, eggs and some sweets… everything delicious.
However, if we are writing this review is because of the customer service. Our waitress, Briza, was the loveliest and kindest person we met during our trip to Edinburgh.
We were enchanted to meet...
Read moreI want to say a massive massive thank you to the kind staff who assisted me with a lady who I was looking after and needed a chair to rest for a while. They gave her a glass of water and let her sit on one of their chairs in the street. Thank you again for your kindness, we hope to visit sometime soon to try some of your lovely looking cakes!
Edit: in April I finally got to have a lovely lunch at WOM :) it was absolutely delicious, the eggs were perfectly cooked and staff were efficient and friendly. Would...
