Verdict: I have to admit that Korean BBQ is one of the most fun and delicious communal dining experiences one can have - it’s just so satisfying to grill your own meat and eat it 🤤 If you think about it, you’re actually paying to cook your own meal 🤣 but we still do it anyways because of that memorable collective experience we get from it; you can't take on waves of grilled meat, endless dishes of banchan, and bubbling bowls of jjigae all on your own! 😜 To me, the Dirty KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) stole the spotlight!!!! 🐥 Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, this tender succulent pieces of fried chicken were a game changer 😱 The spicy gochujang sauce that coated the chicken perfectly packed each bite with a punch of Korean Zing 🔥 The cheese pull was not only satisfying and moreish, but it helped to reduce the heat. Now here comes the best part…BBQ TIME!! 🥩🍡 I’m not very experienced when it comes to Korean bbq, so I was very grateful that the staff helped us to grill our meat. The BBQ Pork Shoulders were just perfection - a heavy hitter Korean-barbecue meat that highlights the interplay of savory, spicy, sweet, bitter, and fermented flavors that's the hallmark of Korean cuisine. The smoky richness of Maillard-charred meat and rendered fat is the foundation of Korean barbecue which was clearly defined by the grilled pork shoulders. The scallops were really fresh and bouncy, but what made it better was the creamy cheese sauce which wasn’t cloying and left us reeling for more!!
I also enjoyed the unlimited flow of gochujang sauce for spreading. The sweet heat of gochujang (chili paste) elevated the wrapped meat parcels. I slathered loads of sauce onto the lettuces leaves, which I then wrapped around pieces of grilled meat for parceled bites of barbecue 😱👌🏻Being Asian, we had to order rice or else it did be incomplete without it hehe 🍚🥢
The only thing I would fault was the ice chocolate float as there was barely any chocolate drink in it ( they basically filled the whole mug with ice so I only had a sip of chocolate 🥲)…the soft serve ice cream that topped it was creamy and indulgent (not advisable for lactose...
Read moreIt’s very rare to find a Korean BBQ restaurant in Coventry so this is a little gem to find! I’m a huge fan of Korean BBQ and have tried many places around the world and Jinseon does a great job at providing great quality menu and service. The services were excellent and it was the first Korean BBQ I’ve been to that has staffs helped you cook your food. I thought that was pretty helpful for those who do not know how to cook their meat properly; if you want to cook on your own, which I did in the end, they’ll just let you be. It is a little pricey, which is expected for a rare Korean BBQ in Coventry so you can expect to pay up to £60-70 in total for a set menu for two people. My bill came to about £75, which includes a set menu for 2 people, with two drinks and a platter of assorted mushrooms. I found the set menu to be okay...there were mostly options for meat or seafood (separately) and there were no vegetables on the set menu, which was why we had to order extra. In the set menu, you get around 3-4 types of meat and a good amount of appetizers and other items such as a kimchi stew. I found the meat quality to also be decent, but not the best. I wanted to cook my 28 days dry aged ribeye steak to medium rare but my server told me that she highly recommend cooking it well done because it wasn’t freeze properly. Despite this, I really loved how they marinated the chicken so it was delicious! They also have a little ‘pop corn’ signature in which they put them in their ice cream and even the fried chicken—it’s very creative! I also need to mention that they also have butter corn and eggs on the grill, too! I highly recommend this place, it’s got a very industrial hipster vibe, as well so it’s a great spot for photos and to hang out with a big...

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Coventry, this Korean BBQ restaurant is a must-visit.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional meal.
The service is incredibly fast and efficient, ensuring that you're well taken care of from start to finish.
The real highlight, though, is the hands-on experience of cooking your own food at the table. It's not just a meal; it's an experience. The quality of the ingredients shines through, especially with the Surf and Turf platter.
Featuring bulgogi beef, pork belly, scallops, and prawns, this dish is perfect for sharing, with enough to satisfy 2-3 people. The flavours are simply incredible, and the variety of dipping sauces and side dishes add layers of taste that make the meal substantial and satisfying.
While the BBQ is the star of the show, the extensive menu offers plenty of other dishes that are worth exploring on a return visit. However, the BBQ is what keeps me coming back time and again.
This restaurant has quickly become my favourite place to eat in Coventry. The atmosphere is always lively and enjoyable, making it the perfect spot for a casual night out or a special occasion.
Just be sure to book online ahead of time to avoid any disappointment or wait time.
