Belgrade Plaza Serviced Apartments — Hotel in Coventry

This has been one of the most unpleasant stays we've experienced. This is not a three or even a two star property. Corridors are dingy with peeling paint. We had a 2 bathroom suite. One bathroom was missing a lock (just holes where lock should be), had no liquid soap (container was just missing - shocking that the cleaning person did not notice that!) and best of all had a disconnected shower - a hose with a hand-held shower head was just gingerly resting on the tub with ho connection anywhere in sight... rendering this shower non-existent.||So we all used a smaller bathroom, which did have functioning fixtures...and where water temperature ranged between hot and hotter. Absence of exhaust fan meant this small bathroom also functioned as a free steam room. Absence of AC and a single window that opened only about 4 inches meant that the attached bedroom felt very tropical afterwards.||Other issues like non-working TV remote were fixed by staff, which is why I'm adding a star to the rating - generally staff tried very hard to be helpful ||On the positive side, parking garage is a 1 min walk.||If you do decide to stay here, keep in mind that appt door does NOT lock upon closing - a first. You need to double tap the key card. Hopefully management can leave instructions to...

I spent a week here in a 1 bedroom flat and I was really counting the days to leave as I just wasn't comfortable, I chose a flat because I wanted to cook, the cooker fan extractor didn't work so this set off the very loud fire alarm which made me cook less and leave all the windows open. The fan in the bathroom also didn't work so the whole flat was stinking any time the number 2 business was done. I called and made a complaint about the kitchen fan and nothing was done about it, so do not expect any services from the "serviced" apartments.

The bed was so soft and the mattress worn out so I had back aches all through the days I was there. The carpet in the corridors leading to the flats was completely worn out and looked pretty horrid.

I really should give a 1 star but the the location is very good and every restaurant and store you needed was literally minutes away, the heating was very good as well and you dial up as much as you want on tap, only two things I can say were good about my experience.

My next trip to Coventry, I will just stay at the Premier Inn which is in the same building block. I came for a relaxing break and I was irritated all the way through, I will not be staying here ever...

First the "somewhat good": adequate if somewhat spartan, spacious apartment. Location is fantastic, smack in the middle of the city center. Now the REALLY bad: HORRENDOUS Security Flaw! Two nights in a row, our apartment was invaded in the middle of the night by strangers—a drunk woman the first night, and a confused or simply clueless man the second—who mistakenly entered our unit, thinking it was theirs. Shockingly, their keys opened our door without any issue. They barged in loudly, turned on the lights, and startled us from our sleep—causing intense stress and anxiety, as you can well imagine. Even worse, management completely ignored my initial complaint and failed to take any action after the first incident. This negligence directly led to it happening again the following night. And when I raised the issue again, all I got was a shrug and a dismissive, “Well, sorry, this never happened before.” I ended up having to use furniture to barricade the door just to feel safe enough to sleep the remaining night.
