I wish there were zero stars to give.
I went this evening 11/10 into Wagamamas with a friend. Was promptly seated. Then deserted for over 20mins by which time the waiter which I later learned was the assistant manager came and asked us for drinks. To which I replied by now we're ready for food! The place wasn't as busy as it usually is either. We placed our order and the starter came, followed by two mains and then a considerable time later drinks. The food was thrown on us before we even had time to tuck into our starters. We weren't even consulted.
The food was substandard, undercooked and of cheap fast food quality. Not really a standard of wagamama that I'm used to but obviously they thought this was ok to serve to their customers.
On top of which my food didn't have the sticky rice I ordered and when I told this to the assistant manager he came and sat next to me but everything which I explained he got very aggressive and was very apprehensive about not a manner that should be applied to customers. There is no right for him to talk to me like I'm worthless customer and at one point I had enough and told him I won't be paying for my food and will be leaving.
I am furious never have I ever been treated so badly in a wagamama and will not return to the one in Coventry. As a bear minimum the assistant manager needs to be educated on how to talk to customers especially to listen to them and not listen to...
Read moreI was first introduced to Wagamama about just over a year ago, and was instantly impressed by the atmosphere of the restaurant and the ambience. The lighting and area itself is so welcoming, and the staff are all very lovely upon entering and when taking your order. Another thing that impressed me was the menu. This place has a lot of hearty and warm meals so you never leave hungry! The presentation of the food is amazing as well. It looks very appetising and has lots of flavour. It is all very clean, including the toilets, and I am now a regular customer here. Due to inflation, my usual meal (chicken firecracker) has gone from £12 to £14, but I still pay the amount as I feel it is still totally worth it. On top of this, I do have an allergy and can say they deal with this excellently, as they instantly ask for any dietary requirements and then have the manager take your order, whilst the head chef ensures everything is cooked separately to prevent any of your food being made with something you are allergic to. Overall, I absolutely love this place and always recommend it to others as it is...
Read moreThe crew was in the area and decided to have food in here. It's been some time since I had been to this chain but another had been recently and recommended it. The greeting was welcoming and most of the stars in this review are because the service was so good! The menu had a lot of vegetarian options on it too which was a nice surprise. The people waiting the tables were all lovely to talk to and would check in often, even if they were serving another table and it was great to be able to add to the order no matter who was passing. The food arrived warm and ready to eat but I wouldn't say it was fast. Yet in good company you'll not notice this. Sadly for me it was the food that let this place down. It just didn't have much flavour. It was nice but not so nice I will be attending this chain any time soon. You'll not be writing home about the food. But the great service will make your day. It was a little pricey for the size of the potions you get. All in all wasn't too bad. Worth popping by and gambling that there will be a different cook that nails the...
