Not a bad place to eat, but not the best either. I've eaten here twice now and have not been massively impressed either time. I'd put that on the chain as a whole rather than specifically the Coventry branch, though. The price is on the mid-to-expensive side, which can leave you feeling a little deflated after eating quite an average meal.

On my visits here, I have tried the Xinxim Curry and the Copacabana Burger:

The Xinxim curry was quite nice; the flavours were good and the portion size was just right. The meat within the curry, however, wasn't the best, but that's my only main gripe.

The Copacabana Burger, on the other hand, was quite disappointing. It felt reminiscent of a Wetherspoons buttermilk chicken burger, if I had to compare it to anything. The breaded buttermilk chicken was juicy and crispy, but it certainly didn't feel like anything special flavor-wise.

On the drinks side, I wasn't disappointed, though. The two-for-one cocktails are good value for money, and they have a great selection. From what I tried, everything tasted great too.

Service is friendly and welcoming, but can be a bit on the slower side sometimes. This could potentially be down to staff issues on my two visits, though.

Overall, I'd say Las Iguanas is okay, but for the food price point, I'd rather go elsewhere. If you're just in the mood for a few cocktails, however, it's not a bad...

Absolutely not acceptable. Firstly, when we arrived, we were told the previous group on our table, hadn't quite paid for everything they ordered, leaving us worried we'd be expected to cover their payment. Then, one item of food was brought out wrong. Fair enough, the waitress did offer to replace this, but still not hard to get the right meal. When we paid for our meal, the server who took payments, did not seem to think it necessary to warn us of a so called "optional" service charge. This is essentially a tip the company has decided you owe them, which can be removed by your choice. This was however not explained, even when the final person was paying, she was not informed of the "optional" amount she could have saved. Because the group before us had not paid off their tab, our service charge was calculated with their money as well. This lead to me having to pay £38 for a service charge, which was not ever mentioned to me or another one of our group. Will definitely be warning friends in future to be careful not to get robbed and only pay for...

Myself and a friend went in for just drinks and the place was disgusting! All the seating area was covered in glasses, plates and bowls the whole time we were there. 3 times staff came over and looked at the tables but none cleared anything away. At one point to the end of our stay a staff member came up twice looking for certain glasses they needed to use and only took them. They even came up to our table and asked for my glass but left my friends there. We should have guessed how it was going to be when we first got to the bar my friend ordered her drinks (keeping in mind we were the only people at the bar!) which then took 10 minutes to make after I asked if anyone was even making them before myself having to ask if I could place an order. I would totally understand if it was super busy and they were all running around but it was very quiet and when I finally asked if someone was making my friends drink, 4 members of staff were all standing in the downway behind the bar looking at phones or just talking. Customer service was...

The food was really good but wasn't overly impressed with the staff. Maybe beacuse we were tucked away in the corner but I felt like we were forgotten about we were desparte for some more drinks to go with our main buts getting anyone's attention proved impossible. We also weren't asked how our food was mid way through the meal. We would have liked to stay for dessert but by the time our table was cleared we had just had enough of waiting for staff. Shame as the food is delicious would try again and hopefully be seated somewhere a little more obvious. Also really great kids menu with lots of activities inside. But the waitress didn't give my daughter any crayons to do any of these activities we assumed that there were none available untill we were leaving and noticed another child with some crayons colours their booklet in. Disappointing.

I’ve been to Las iguanas quite a few times I’ve been for dinner A good few times and cocktails this is the first time I had been for the lunchtime meal deal it was £10 for a meal and a drink which you could pick a fizzy drink or even one of the mock tails which is absolutely brilliant I also got a side of chips with mine as well included the food was brilliant. The service was great. The man working there was really friendly very chatty and very fast with his service. I will say that atmosphere wasn’t the best as it was super quiet in there but it was during the day I know when I have been at night but atmosphere is a lot better But would definitely recommend

Came here with my wife & 2 friends. 3 of us were told our main choices were not available, 2 of our starters were not available and also some of our drink requests. When we settled for our 2nd (or 3rd) choices, the food was okay. The server was very apologetic and very polite and did her best. We could tell she was mortified at the lack of availability too. Also, as a Coeliac, the GF fajitas were disappointing, as the 4 wraps that were provided were smaller than the palm of my hand. It felt like I was eating a kids Happy Meal and left still feeling hungry.
