This is a really nice pub with loads of character and very friendly staff who are more than happy to tell you about the history of the pub( from the 1700s). Its one of those pubs where you can spend ages just looking at the architecture of the place or trying do determine what is the original part of the pub and what is the new parts. The beer mats that are on the walls look amazing too. The locals are very friendly too and theirs outdoor seating as well. I will definitely be going back. Food is not on offer at this pub.

Lovely friendly pub, with fantastic decor and incredible service! Warm, funny and welcoming hosts. Dog friendly, with beautiful views from the beer garden at the front. We were treated to the most incredible sunset during our most recent visit. The menu is very tasty, but sadly a bit limited. The bar boasts a wonderfully cosy log burner, which is an absolute delight in cold winter evenings. Decent selection of drinks, including my favourite lily's cider. Highly recommended!

What's not to like we sat outside next to the lavender tubs watching the bees. Marvelous Addition So we called back and tried the food and it didn't disappoint. It's one of those proper pubs you could quite happily stop for the day and have a session. 👍

SUPER RUDE!!!!!!!! I called them as the booking system wasnt clear was very rude on the phone then when i tried booking i got this response and accused me of lying:

"You have not previously submitted a booking and said you had so we will not be taking this booking. We do not appreciate being misinformed particularly at present regarding fictional bookings Thanks" Sent from Mail for Windows 10

then 1 minute later got this message:

"Actually I have to apologise as you did previously submit as it is sat on the website server and not been forwarded so again apologies for confusion We are very limited on space at present as a car hit the pub last Friday and we lost the lounge thanks" Sent from Mail for Windows 10

THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SPEAK TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS! VERY...

Wow, terrible food and the most terrible chef/owner I have ever met. Our son banged on the door twice and then we were told to keep our son under control.... When we showed our annoyance at this we were told that children should be kept on a leash!!! Then told we were wankers and he knew we would be trouble when we rolled in our range rover. Incredible from an owner.... Do not go here with children, he then preceeded to take a picture of our car as we were leaving... What an idiot. Just reading the other comments too, we did say the food was OK, in fact it was shocking... Avoid!!!! It appears I have to give 1 star to post but it certainly isn't...

Nice atmosphere and very friendly and accommodating staff (edit after "response": No, apparently they are hateful). We were told they had a reduced menu due to stopping food sales soon. Whilst they tried to give us what we wanted, one meal was very basic but ok, the other was partly inedible due to fatty, unappetising chicken. Overall: nice place, forget the food. Thanks for your response, I guess I was wrong, and apparently the staff or owner are hateful and should not run a customer-facing business, let-alone serve food. I hope your business fails and you learn how to...
