The Old Bank — Restaurant in Derbyshire Dales

We entered this pub to actually purchase drinks and let our little one use the toilet. As soon as we approached the bar a rude bad attitude man said that children were not allowed inside. I said our child just needed the toilet, to which he replied go across road. I said outside toilets are closed. He said can't use these toilets costs too much money!! 🤷🏼‍♀️So we left before my husband even bought a drink! As we felt very unwelcome! And it seemed we were not allowed to use the toilet.. I understand that he may have thought we just wanted the toilet. But we would not do that as we had already seen the sign on the door stating toilets for customers, we intended to buy drinks!!!!! But after that attitude we just left! Terrible customer...

I went here today to wait for my boyfriend to go to the toilet down the road because we wasn’t allowed to use the toilets in this pub, and I litterally just sat down at the table not even doing anything bad whatsoever and this woman comes over and has a full blown go at me for using this seating area bear in mind this was my first time visiting Matlock so I had no idea I couldn’t use this seating area and she rudely says to me there’s bench’s down the road to sit not here, I apologised so many times as I felt like I did something so bad but to think about it now all I was doing was waiting for my boyfriend I don’t see what so bad about that to be honest lol so avoid at all costs unless u want to be...

Stopped here today for some food. We had a full English and a vegetation full English, both of which were delicious. The owner(?) apologised for the wait but we didn't really think it had been very long at all. We both really enjoyed the breakfast as you can see, there was nothing left. The price was great, just over £20 for the food and 2 pepsis. The owners were also very nice and chatty. Couldn't fault them at all,...
