Wiffle Waffle — Restaurant in Derbyshire Dales

Arrived today at 635pm. I had already rang the shop too see if they was open. And was told yes were open and close at 7pm As on the internet the other day it stated it was open when we arrived it was closed due too staffing issues but we was glad too see it opened and we Entered the shop to place an order along with other members of public. And the rude man behind the counter had just finished serving a customer and said very abruptly no more orders as out rack is full and we close at 7 and have homes too go to. A lady replied but I have driven along way and my mother is disabled. Too which his reply was I suggest you arrive earlier in future. Very rude towards the customers in the shop. We have been looking forward too a wiffle waffle but very disappointed in his attitude we will not be returning too be spoken too in that manor. Every the young staff behind the counter turned round too look at him as the way he was speaking too customers very rude indeed .. no wonder he has...

About a year ago I reviewed Wiffle Waffle. I’ve attached the original review.

Since then, the shop has changed hands and the prices have gone up drastically. We used to be able to get bubble waffles: 2 for £9 or 1 for £4.55. It’s now £6.95 per bubble waffle. The soft serve ice cream is no where near as smooth and creamy and you get about 1/4 of the toppings we used to get. As for the Belgian boxes- you can buy these off the shelf at most supermarkets. If you were looking at these, I’d spend the time and save the money to make them at home.

I’m sad to have to change this review so much but it’s changed so much for the worse unfortunately. I can’t say I’d recommend it any longer.

Absolutely brilliant place to go, they make the waffles in front of you and you get to choose your toppings. I personally had a Bubble Waffle Cone - Strawberries and Cream and it was delicious! Really impressed as it was only £4.95 and it might as well have been a meal from the size of it! Really tasty and yummy, very popular and can get busy but it is definitely worth the wait! Is my guilty treat every so often to myself this place and I will be returning again to get another Bubble Waffle Cone!! Has to be the best place in Matlock Bath to get a Waffle/Ice Cream. Not only that but the servers and owners are so pleasant and friendly and always make sure that you are okay and happy with your product!...
