First of all, ignore the bad reviews! Then, this is one of my favourite restaurants in the UK and as always, it did not disappoint. I own a hiking business and often turn up last minute with a large group, usually around 20 and they always accommodate. Went back this time with 8 people and as always, SO TASTY! My partner is Turkish and I travel to Turkey a lot and get the best of its food but until then, I had rarely found such a good quality of Turkish food in the UK. Definitely cannot wait to be back with another group in a couple of weeks, every time I bring my customers, they are blown away by the savours and the service. Special Shout out to the young guy who took our order, very nice, fun and professional. I would not have been anything like this at his age, maybe 16 or 17. The only thing I don’t agree with him is that Salgam ( Turnip juice) is great 😂 he does not seem to like it as he asked me if I was sure about my order… the young lady was also delightful. The location is also great, on the sea wall and a couple of minutes from the train station. Cok tessekur ediyorum, elinize saglik!

When I called to book a table and was told they closed at 11pm but they would be out by 10:30. I should've guessed it would not be a perfect night. Arrived and was seated in a light, bright restaurant with young, freindly waiting staff. Issue 1...we ordered drinks as soon as we sat down. Over the next 15 minutes different staff repeatedly asked us what our drink order was as they couldn't find it on the system. Issue 2...only half the starters arrived, the second half arrived a good 15 minutes later. Part way through we were asked if they could bring our main course. Not yet we replied. 5 minutes later we were asked again. Issue 3...the Kleftico. What a disappointment. Yes, the lamb was tender. Sadly it and the accompanying sauce were tasteless with and unpleasant orange coloured 'water' slopping about in the bowl. It was a miserable dish. When a young waiter asked me if it was OK and I said know his response was ' I'll take it away as it depressing looking at something you can't eat"! I asked him to inform the manager, which he said he would do. The final issue...the smell of disinfectant filled the air as one of the waiters started to mop the floor getting closer and closer to where we were sitting. Obviously they were in a rush to get cleared up and out by 10:30. I asked for the manager. He said that they were mopping up a spill. Odd as the last people had left that area at least 20 to 30 minutes before and all the tables had been cleared and relaid. He told them to stop and stay away from us. I asked if my comments on the Kleftico had been passed on? No, but I'll take it off your bill. As he walked away another waiter started to mop on the opposite side of our table and another started to sweep under the banks of tables . Someone asked them to stop so they walked off leaving both mop and broom leant against the table they were cleaning around. At this point we asked for our bill and left. I don't think I've ever felt so 'in the way' and disregarded in a restaurant before. Tonight may well have been an exception to their normal level if food and service but I'll never know as I'll not be going back.

Fantastic Turkish restaurant right in front of the pier! Went in for an early dinner at 1715, the restaurant was quite but well staffed. The staff on site were fantastic, very attentive and had a great attitude. We were seated on one of the bigger tables, the seats were very comfortable and the table tops were clean and set out. Ordered the family platter, the bread and starter sauces were all fantastic, well spiced and freshly cooked. The grill came shortly after which was a great size and easily did us a family of four adults and two children. The meats were nicely flavoured and cooked well. All in all the food was a 5/5, the total stars would have also reflected this but lost one on the cleanliness of the floor under the table, it was covered in bits of rice and other foods from the previous customer, easily something missed by the cleaner but something that needs attention. Worth the visit if you fancy Turkish food at a great location.

First time visiting and it deffo won't be my last. A meal with my sister ended up being a surprise birthday meal organised by the manager and fiance as he couldn't be there. The service from the young man and lady was so good! The food and portion size was rhe best I've had in a while! Being muslim, the manager changed the oil for us when frying the chips which didn't go unnoticed. The manager wrnt out of his way to buy roses and table decorations, fulfilling my fiancé's request! Honestly it meant so much to us so thank you again!
