Namaste Sandwich — Restaurant in Dover

We have smelt the food from this restraunt before, and decided to try a take away with them this weekend. The menu is not a classic indian menu. The positives. The rice dishes where great, the biryani was very nice, in fact I wouild say this was special and one of the best versions we have tryed. The same as the peshwari nan, that was a pink colour inside.

The main and side. Well this is a different story. Sag aloo dish was mostly minced spinich and some small cuts of baby / salad potatos. The 2 mains, a chicken madras and the murgh dhanya tomato we did NOT find 'hot or spicy', in fact lacked any heat, but where also salty, and overpowered by cumin. There was other flavours there, but overpowered.

Price wise, we feel this was an expensive take away, with costs above or equal to the higher standard...

Ok where to start this is an amazing restaurant/ takeaway the food is like no other it's well thought out the taste texture presentation is all perfect the prices are higher than other take aways but this is justified as said above it out weighs all local competitors the only reason I have left four stars is the portion size I would like a little more we spent over £40 on takeaway for two and cleared the lot and I started looking for more. Also you need to have menus available to take away not everyone wants to join Facebook to read a menu sometimes the old fashion way is better than the modern digital but well done on your restaurant and your chef it's a treat for...

My wife and I decided, very last minute, to enjoy a meal here for our wedding Anniversary...and what great decision it was!

The food was incredible, the staff were so very accommodating and friendly and the atmosphere was exactly what you would want from an authentic Indian restaurant.

We couldn't decide which wine to have with our meal so the gentleman brought over a taster of a couple of options.

Being vegetarian we usually have very limited options but again we were pleasantly surprised with the vast selection and the fantastic flavours from the dishes we chose.

We will 100% be returning to Namaste and recommend this...
